Thankful Thursday - A Smile

"Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing." Mother Teresa

It might seem like a small thing, but for me, a smile means hope.

I remember the times I felt alone, lost, worthless and then someone on the bus caught my eye and smiled at me. Their smile, warm and genuine, was a gift. That simple gesture encouraged me to keep fighting, to have hope, and not give up.

I've never forgotten how a stranger's smile empowered me to stay  in the game and keep fighting. Grateful for.....

-got an email saying my book will be sent across Canada this Christmas. It's so cool knowing what I lived and overcame will give hope to others.
-early mornings. Nothing beats getting up before anyone in the house is awake, sitting at the computer and writing from my heart.
-My country. There was a shooting yesterday in our capital. Made me realize even more how grateful I am to live in Canada, rated one of the best countries in the world to live in.
-Planning more workshops every week for the month of November. The thing about doing these, it's a reminder how far I've come, how much I've been given and that miracles really do happen. I want to give that hope. I want to show that giving up is never an option.
-And mostly that His peace cuts across anything and everything else. It quiets angst, silents fears, and makes me strong.

Happy Thursday, Guys! Stay safe out there.

What a great post, filled with hope and encouragement! We have so many things to be thankful for and even though our country is in shock from what happened yesterday, we know that God is in control of it all. We can trust Him. Have a wonderful weekend, Nikki.

Hugs and blessings from PEI,
Sandi

I'm embarrassed to say I was unaware of what had happened today until I started hearing about it from clients at work. I rarely watch the news since there are enough depressing things going on...

Inspiring and uplifting post Nikki ♡

Congrats on the continued success of your book. God is working mightily!!

And yes, I agree, a smile is still the best currency.

GOD BLESS!

A smile does bring hope, so does telling History...His story and what He's done for us-give others hope. That's exactly what you do through your writing! So thrilled your book is making it's way across Canada! The workshops you're holding...give hope. I hope you're smiling from ear to ear!
Thankful for you sweet Nikki!
Love,
Jul

So tragic about the shooting.
A smile really can change someone's entire day. It's surprising how contagious happiness can be when everyone is smiling. I hope you have a good weekend.
