Thankful Thursday

"We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same"  Anne Frank

The week hasn't been very exciting. I spent most of it writing. I'm up to 27,000 words and now just want to get it done and over with. Writing this amazing story has opened up a different culture and a lifestyle different than anything I've known. Yet the similarities outweigh any differences and reminds me how much the same we all are. I'm grateful for.....

-my friend's wife reading what I have to date and telling me it gave her chills...that she couldn't stop turning the pages. I love that.
-an older friend whose expertise has opened up doors that I couldn't have opened had it not been for her.
-People. They're what really matters. Things break, get used up, and are eventually pushed aside. People live on even when they're no longer alive.
-sometimes I look at strangers and they look familiar....like I've met them before...seen them somewhere even though I never have. It reminds me of our connection to each other.....
-relationships.....the best one is with Him. He centres me. Guides me. Shows me the value in me and in every person I meet.

Great list...yea! on your writing, what an awesome gift...and yes, so many stories are the same, different times, different places, and yet, all are stories of what the enemy meant for evil and what God used for our good!....redemption.

With so many trials going on and even with close friends, what better way for me to cheer up myself this morning than to visit you and get infected with your grateful attitude...How true that we may differ in many ways, but our lives even its purposes are the same...all about God!!! Blessings to you sister and keep writing! ;)

I wanted to encourage you in your writing, Sarah; that is a big accomplishment for sure. I resonated with what you said about how people are what matter and that they live on even when they are dead--special people live in my heart and I know this is true. Peace to you today and happy writing, xoO

"In Christ there is no east or west, in Him no south or north; but one great fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth." So wrote hymnwriter John Oxenham. If we all would live like we believe this, wouldn't the world be a better place? Great post!

I love how God lines things and people up in our lives. He opens doors...He encourages us to step out of our little zones and connect..because like you said we are so much the same...different stories, but with the same God shaped hole in our lives.
Persevere sister - We'll be praying you through!
Love,
Julie

"He centres me"

That really says so much in three words. That's exactly what we need in this crazy world.

I'm so proud of you and for you for the way God is using you to write those words. What wonderful affirmation to have your friend's wife give such encouragement.
