Singing in the Rain

LInking with Charlotte @ Spiritual Sunday and Laura @ Brag on Fridays

"Life isn't how to survive the storm; it's about how to dance in the rain" Taylor Swift

Some days are amazing. Others a struggle. Some days I can't stop singing....other days I can hardly catch my breath. Some days I feel like I can conquer the world. Other times...it's tough just getting out of bed.

It's nothing like it was before. Most days now are pretty good.....still, there are those times when I wonder what life and mostly my life is all about. But then I feel His gentle touch....a reminder  He's there.....in my corner. Even in the down times...the sad days....I'm not alone anymore. I can even sing through them.....and I can trust those life blips won't last. Somehow I'll get through them and the sun will shine again. I'm learning to  get up and sing in the rain. I'm learning to trust Him no matter what....

Rain or shine....I'm gonna trust. I'm gonna dance in the rain.

Even though my heart is torn......I'll praise you in this storm.....

Oh yes ... sometimes the dark days ... can suck us back , so swiftly that we start to question will this be the how it's going to be forever; as we bury ourselves in bed under mountains of covers, trying to protect ourselves. Thank you for your inspiring post today my friend!! xo HHL

My days have been a little stormy lately, but yes, I will still praise him in it. He's right there with me.

So thankful he never leaves us to face trials alone!

Thanks, Nikki.

Singing in the rain, dancing in the dark, joy in the mourning, ...it's just trusting God even when life doesn't seem to make sense - don't you think?

To dance in the rain...

I had the most exasperating morning! I don't often get stressed but I sure was this morning. Then I spent some time being quiet and prayed and when I went back to what I had been doing, everything was fine.
It's like God came and fixed everything for me in my quiet time.
He was there watching me get all flustered and then when I wasn't looking, He did His 'thing.'
I'm so thankful He's there even when we're not expecting it!

Thanks for sharing your inspiring post, my friend, and have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings & hugs,
Sandi

You wrote exactly what I have been reflecting on late this afternoon. Wow. I know this was a Word I needed to hear. And I can never get enough of Casting Crowns!
Thank you, Jesus.

Your words are so honest - and uplifting as you point us to Him in good times and bad. I love the song; it's one of my favorites.

It is easy to give praise in the good days and much harder in the bad ones! sandie

I agree. Life is never easy and each day is different but without Him it would be unbearable.

life is certainly with its ebbs and flows and I do have to remind myself that THIS TOO SHALL PASS when I am down-laden. Sometiems it takes a LOT of effort and others less but it's good to have the gentle reminder...

As one who struggles with bouts of stormy days, I can't wait to click this video. Based on the title, I don't think I've heard it.

BTW, I always, always, like the songs you pick. You must have a similar taste or something.

Singing and dancing in the rain. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. They say if it wasn't for the valleys we wouldn't appreciate the hilltops as much.
Blessings,
