55 Flash Friday

Woo hoo! it's that time again. 55 Flash Friday....Love to spin words? Write a story...55 words no more no less and let the awesome G-Man know. http://g-man-mrknowitall.blogspot.com/

Her stomach growling demanded food. Its emptiness emphasized her soul's emptiness. Her open hand extended, begging. Passerby's threw dirty looks, shook heads, disgusted. Her hand stayed, waiting. Some raised theirs, dismissing her. But soon, a youth, moved with compassion, threw change in her hand, but more a smile, kindness filling a need greater than hunger.

I thought that was beautiful and thank God for the young man with compassion.

reminded me of that song by Phil Collins where the man crosses the street and ignores the kid saying "I; cold"
