Thankful Thursday - Beauty.

It was such a pleasure to sink one's hands into the warm earth, to feel at one's fingertips the possibilities of the new season.  Kate Morton.

I love love love the smell of the earth and planting tiny little nothings and then waiting and watching them turn into brilliant colour and awesome beauty.

I'm always amazed at how that actually happens.....how something so small and seemingly insignificant can become something that takes my breath away.

Spring gardening  - all the hard work equals incredible joy - seeing everything slowly come back to life in all its brilliant beauty. Reminds me of life, especially healing from life's hurts - put in the hard work, then wait and watch and BABAM - beauty from the darkness.

Happy Thursday, Guys.

I am notorious for having a *black thumb* - my trouble is I usually end up over or under-watering. But, I am intrigued by it. My husband and I have often talked about how we'd love to grow some of our own vegetables. Maybe his thumb is green??

And gardening is such a great metaphor for the work of God in our lives, isn't it?!

I'm glad that He knows how much Living Water we need!!

Happy Mother's Day, Nikki, and GOD BLESS!

I've been working in the flower beds and planting seeds this week too. It always strikes me as such a miracle to see what grows from such tiny little seeds.

Lovely to read your post.

It is so nice to be out and planting / watching the garden grow.
I guess it is something we all need warmth, food, nurturing and some tender loving care.

We celebrated Mother's Day in the UK in March - but I know in the US it's Mother's Day today - hope you've had a lovely day.

Good wishes for the coming new week

All the best Jan
