Thankful Thursday. Tikkum Olam

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” John Holmes

תיקון עולם Tikkum Olam, a Hebrew saying which means a shared responsibility to heal, repair and transform the world.

I believe in Tikkum Olam. I believe in giving back and helping others make it. I'm grateful today for the opportunities to do that, through my writing, through running workshops and even through simply caring.

I love that I can share my story, tell what I've lived, the tough stuff, the things I never thought I'd overcome, and give hope to others who are still fighting the darkness. It's the thing that brings me incredible joy.

When I lived on life's edge, and contemplated ending my life, I never imagined that one day, I'd tell people how amazing life is, how great, and how thankful I am for all of it, even for the darkness.

This morning heading out to share that hope with a group of women. Happy Thursday, Guys.

What's your gift, what's your calling. What brings you incredible joy.

I want to give back in any way God can use me today. I am always amazed how the opportunities appear like out of nowhere. But every morning I pray "Here are my hands, feet, hugs, Lord, for anyone who needs a touch from you."

I'm meeting with a few ladies for lunch. We want to cheer up a sister whose husband has been going through cancer treatments and she needs some girlfriend time. God has healed her hubby twice! Praise the Lord.

Love,
Mary

I am looking forward to getting to know you better, and have you know me as well. I am a one on one talker rather than in front of groups. I like giving back to those that dont know I gave. Does that make sense? Hope your afternoon has been good. Blessings to you.

This is so important. A lovely post.

May you have a lovely weekend and a Happy August, I just don't know where July went to it passed by very quickly.

All the best Jan

If God uses my humble writing in any way to further His cause, then I am blessed.

Keep up your great work in the world, Nikki - He is using you mightily.
