Thankful Thursday

“We have the choice to use the gift of our life to make the world a better place”  Jane Goodall

It' what I want to do. It's what I've always wanted to do - reach out and help other people make it.

I used to struggle and fight to make it from one day to the next, alone, running scared. Then Wham!!! He touched me and everything changed. It didn't happen all at once, but He gave me the courage to push through.....to fight for my life back.

How do you say thank-you? How do you show gratitude for being given your life back? Only way I know is to use mine now to try to make this world a better place. Thankful this week for....

-giving the 'free' books has connected me with so many neat people. They're grateful for the book and I'm grateful for their receptiveness and kindness. Their kindness is like a switch that pushes me to live kind too.
-New friends. The book has opened doors to meet new people, people who are making a difference in their communities. A bond has formed with quite a few of them. Sort of feels like we're all in this together....one doing one thing. Someone else another. But all of us wanting to use our lives to make a difference. Love that!!!
-hiking everyday with the kids in the woods. The bluey's are back and all the other birds. I think if hope were a picture, spring in the woods would be it.
-Family. Every day we say, 'I love you,' to each other. To love and be loved back is incredibly freeing.
-And mostly for His love that never gave up on me and never gives up on any of us.

Happy Thursday, Guys.....

Great post, Nikki! I loved this line: "if hope were a picture, spring in the woods would be it." Wow, yes! That says it all.

I love walking in the woods and listening to the songbirds.
I'm so glad He pursued you until you couldn't run any more. He knew you would be His instrument long before you did. God is good!

Blessings & hugs,
Sandi
