Maybe it's the real circle of life......giving back what you get and teaching what you've learned.
For me....I've never forgotten the incredible people who showed me kindness when I had nothing.Their kindness is now embedded in me. I'll never forget them or the kindness they showed b/c it gave me hope that things could be different...that maybe I was worth it.
My payment - pass it on. Pass on the kindness. And maybe, like it did for me, it will jumpstart someone else's hope to hang on and not give up.
I don't have much to give, just hope. Hope that someone can make it. Hope that their tomorrow can be brighter. Hope that if I can overcome, they can too. Grateful for......
-so many opportunities to give back
-Been giving out books all week. People are grateful for them, but I'm in awe that the things I struggled against for so long, is fueling hope for others now.
-peace. Knowing that my life and every life counts. Doesn't matter who we are, what we've done or not done...every human being matters. Love that.
-Preparing to run another empowerment group in a couple of weeks. Even planning for it excites me.
-Mostly.....for Him not leaving me where I was...in the gutter....lost, alone, broken. How do you say thank-you to that? Only way I know is to give back and keep giving back.

I love how you inspire me and make me think about things. I do believe that helping each other is what we should do, being of service will always remind us of our blessings :)

Giving back is God's way and you are such a good example of doing that. I always feel hope in your written words.
You said you don't have much to give, except hope. Nikki, that is a tremendous gift. This world doesn't give much hope, and so people are looking for it. You have both the life experience that speaks to the reality of hope, and you have the relationship with the One who gives us hope.
That, my friend, is a priceless gift - and you are faithful in passing it on!
