Thankful

“Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.” Martin Luther King Jr.

How did he do it? How did King stay focused and speak truth when so many tried to silence him? How did he not give in to fear? How did he stand so brave in the face of violent opposition?

King cracked the code. He found the way....the thing that enabled him to stand brave. I'm grateful for...

Hope....hope that things can be different.
Hope if held onto long enough shifts to faith...faith that the thing we hope for, will happen.
Faith....that defines reason.
Faith...that gives courage and keeps us holding strong even when everything screams, let go.
And mostly.....that He gives the hope that ultimately turns to rock solid faith....that inner knowing, that no matter who or what, something spectacular will come out from the bad. Faith is what cracked the code for King and faith is what continually cracks the code for me.

Made a video on Hope.....hope you like it.
Happy Thursday, Guys...hold strong.

Hope is a beautiful thing. And faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. King knew that! I enjoyed your video. Thank you for your inspiring post, Nikki. Hugs from PEI to you, Sandi

What a lovely video Nikki... I just adored all the words... It makes me want to do a post about hope... especially after the week of emotions I have had to endure... Such an uplifting post... King certainly braved his fear for the truth... powerful :)

Oh, this was great. I really like how you worded it.

I especially liked the idea that hope eventually becomes faith. That was a great thought.

This week I am thankful for the HOPE that the resurrection brings. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, as we buried my dad on Sunday, I knew that he wasn't there. He was with the Lord. And therefore, we were able to grieve WITH hope in my dad's, and our, eternal future!

GOD BLESS!
