"You need to remember that summer follows winter and sunshine follows rain. Don't give up don't give in...life can come again." Ray Watson
Looking out the window, seeing the withered plants and flowers, it's hard to believe that in a few months they'll be back again, full of life and colour and vibrancy.
It's the way I sometimes feel about my life...those times everything looks bleak, dark, grey. Yet something in me knows to wait...to hold on and trust. Life and purpose will come again, just like summer after winter and sunshine after rain. Thankful this week for....
-good friends. They make the down days bearable, even fun
-my kids. They teach me the things that are really important in life. My love for them makes me want to live my best life so they can live theirs.
-imagination. It's awesome to be able to imagine the spring, walking on the trails, smelling the earth, hearing the nature again.
-writer friends who believe in me, who keep my passion alive, and inspire me to write from the inside out.
-Mostly.....Even in the blah times, I know He's got awesome plans incubating. My job? to wait, to hope, to trust. I've seen Him do it in the past again and again and again. I know He'll do it again so I'm waiting. He'll do it 100%.

So needed this.... blessings my friend.
It seems like I've been in such a long winter... I'm hopeful for the Spring... I love your Faith Nikki xox ♡ ... have a great day ;-)
We had another blizzard yesterday with 37 cm of snow. It was still blowing hard at midnight. But today, it is sunny and all is beautiful. I am so ready for Spring! Funny how a bright sunny day can make one feel better. Just like a sunny day can make one feel more positive, so does a verse like Philippians 4:8. I often think on that verse when I'm feeling blah. Spring is right around the corner. Have a lovely day, my friend.
Blessings & hugs from PEI,
Sandi
So I really love your word for the plans HE has for us: Incubating.
I love that and will be remembering it.
Love the quote by Ray Watson....I needed that today!
You know I try to look at life as a cycle. You can be going up -or down - or staying the same - but only for awhile - you will inevitably move. So never give up. sandie
How I appreciated this message today, Nikki. My father passed away rather unexpectedly last week, and it's been difficult. But, even though the clouds are a bit gray right now, the SON is still shining His JOY upon us!
GOD BLESS!
Every season has lessons to be learned, some I wish I didn't have to learn, but this too shall pass.
Wonderful and inspiring words, Nikki. Hope you are staying safe and warm.
Waiting and Winter...they seem to go hand in hand. But Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall...God's the same through it all!
Wait with a Knowing smile sister! He's done it before, He'll do it again- He has awesome plans for you! His perfect timing is crucial.
Love you!

Yes, there also lots of things to learn in waiting:)
So glad that God's love never fails:)
Beautiful and inspiring post. Thank you so much for sharing. Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
God knows what He is doing in your heart... incubating the seeds of hope that will reach fruition in His time.
Love the way you connect to His purposes.
