Thankful Thursday

"I want to think again of dangerous and noble things. I want to be light and frolicsome. I want to be improbable and beautiful and afraid of nothing as though I had wings.” Mary Oliver

I love those times when something grabs me and becomes inspiration. It usually happens when I'm goofing with the kids or hiking the hills near our home or spotting a blueheron in flight. This week grateful for....

-first snowstorm. It hasn't hit yet, but tomorrow and over the weekend we're set to get our first winter blast. Frigid temps means hunkering down inside with cuddles and family time.
-December. Love this time of year. It's so pretty and magical.
-Opportunities to reach out. We've signed up to be involved in reaching out to people who've fallen on hard times. Giving back is a gift not just to those receiving help, but to us too. I think giving is the best exercise for the heart.
-My book Twisted Innocence has been selling. People are emailing...telling me they're loving it. I wasn't sure b/c it's different than what I usually write so it's good to hear.
-Mostly that He makes everything awesome no matter what the season.

Yes, December is a magical time of year; the sparkle of lights and pretty things and the sparkle we see in the eyes of our children. It is a time of reflection upon the joy His coming has brought to us. We are a blessed people and we have so much to be thankful for. Have a beautiful and magical day, Nikki.

Christmas blessing and hugs,
Sandi

We've had several snows here, and it is quite cold, but at least the sun is shining today! It's a great time of year for family time inside. :)

Congratulations on your sales of your book... that is awesome :)

Apparently we are getting a bad storm on Sunday here so I will be hanging around in my warm house with Valentina doing Christmas things... that will be nice.

You always inspire me girl :)

Ahh...snow, frigid temps...got ours last week. I'm not a fan, but Praised God that we didn't loose power, Praised God for heat in our home! Single digits in Oklahoma is like living in the North!
Giving back...we love doing that too!! It is good exercise for your heart...and I really think the givers come away very blessed.
Can't wait to get my book!
Love ya,
Jul

I really, really love that quote! How inspirational. I long to be rid of my fearfulness, and to have the courage to dare to be bold in my life.
