Thankful Thursday

"Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of somebody else." Judy Garland

What's really neat is that all of us are so amazingly different. I see it in my girls. I experience it with my friends and the people I meet everyday. Some are sensitive and gentle and giving....others are strong and feisty and go getters......and others are  introspective and steady -thinkers.

This week I'm grateful for....

-Finally after upteen rewrites satisfied with the first chapter of a story I'm working on.

-Even though it's freezing out.....Wed. was the first day of Spring.

-Long happy talks with my teen. She totally inspires me.I love her beautiful spirit.

-Cracking up with my youngest. She's got a wicked sense of humor and lives life large. The girl inspires me to not hold back and live free.

-His acceptance of me just as I am....That's the best!! And the most freeing.

Good morning Nikki! Happy Spring! It's amazing to see how very different our own children are, and at the same time so many likenesses. Two of mine had me rolling on the floor laughing the other night!! We are so blessed!
Have a great day..and be the best you that you can be today!
Love ya,
Jul

It's amazing to hear you talk about the love you share with your wonderful daughters. The quote sticks to me...How true! Why copy someone else when God has made each of us differently? I think it would be a boring place if we all are the same in everything. But I wish these differences do not alienate one from another.

So much to be thankful for starting with His love and all of His blessings. Have a wonderful week ahead remaining strong in His power!

Your weekly blog posts help me keep in touch with you. Your relationship with your children is a treasure that just keeps getting more and more valuable as the weeks and months go by. You see them grow and change and mature before your very eyes. Blessings...

Awesome post Nikki... I love the unique differences we have as people :). My children are the opposites of each other but I couldn't love them more... :)

That's a beautiful post. It warms my heart to know that even though you've experienced so many struggles in your life you are so wise and seem genuinely happy.

Be well,

I have only two sons - and I am also so amazed at how different they are. Each is uniquely themselves, and I enjoy the diversity and creativity and love they bring to my life!

Great gratitudes, Nikki.

And congrats on that re-write. I totally get how hard that process must have been!

GOD BLESS!

Love this Nikki; there is so much to be learned from people’s distinctive character and different identities. We all have different approaches to life and different opinions; what a beautiful experience it is to surround myself with those of different cultures and backgrounds! My two daughters are like night and day; both with amazing qualities that inspire me too! :)

Praise for spring!! It gives hope that soon it WILL be warmer-ha!
Blessings and hugs,
Denise

I think one reason God made us all different is so we can learn and be blessed by each other. When ever I read your posts that's what happens for me. I haven't stopped by for a while now. That will have to change. I have been being way to introspective...that's me!

Blessings to you
