Creation Calls...

Linking up with Charlotte and Ginger who every week host Spiritual Sunday.

All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all that I have not seen. Ralph Emerson Waldo

I love the laid back pace of summer....the easy living....with no pressures.....But mostly...I love hiking the hills near our home.....and running along the lakeshore....drinking in the  beauty everywhere...in the flowers... mountains....trees....water and even the wild animals.

When I'm outside in nature....I feel alive....free....connected. Most mornings I get up early and trek out to the woods. Once I hit that dirt path leading away from the concrete jungle.....I feel myself breathe.

And it's there I hear it....that still small voice...that gentle whisper that breathes life...hope....and peace. It gives me reassurance that everything will be okay.....it infuses me with courage to face whatever the day will bring.

Being out in nature.....reminds me that the One who created everything my senses are taking in....is the same One in control of my life. Being outside in His creation reminds me....He's there....He's real.....I can let go....relax....and trust.

 Happy 4th of July Guys!

How could I say there is no God when all around creation calls.....

I feel the same. I think creation brings us back to what God originally meant for our lives...just us and Him in communion.

I feel the same too - that's why I love flowers and animal pictures on the blogs - it is like eye candy from God (teehee - I stole that from you!)

Hi Sarah,
You and I share so many things in common! I feel closest to Him when I'm out in the woods or on the beach. HE IS THE AIR I BREATHE! Thanks for sharing and have a lovely weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Sarah,
Happy Fourth of July to you, too. I feel like this on the beach, since we have no mountains around where I live. :)

Blessings,
Tammy

The video is amazing!! I still like the first shot best, where the man is just diving into endless nature, I WAS glad to see that parachute on his back!! I love nature and nature photography, up to a point. And that point is, spiders!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Creation calls to me too. God's creativity and awesomeness is so evident to me outside. And summer is such a great time to revel in that. Thanks, Sarah, for reminding me of this.

Ron and I love nature, too. We used to backpack, cross country ski and snowshoe. Nowadays, we enjoy walking, beachcombing, whale watching birdwatching and photography. This summer we are going camping again for the first time in years. We are really looking forward to it. I praise God for the beauty of His creation and I pray that we all become better stewards of it. Happy 4th of July!!

Hi Sarah,

First, I want to say, "thanks for being my blogger friend during the past year, I'm a better man because of your words of encouragement."

Secondly, I'm first and foremost a city guy. Having grown up in Chicago, I have always been drawn to large urban settings. The pace and heartbeat of a large city excites me. However, the past two weekends have me appreciating the beauty of nature. Due to the congestion of traffic, I have used an alternate way home after work which found me traveling through rural areas of Maryland and Virginia. Yesterday I saw two small deer, and I must admit that I didn't want to believe my eyes at first. As I slowed down, the beauty of their eyes revealed to me the joy of being alive. My thoughts were of just getting home and advoiding traffic congestion, but I wound up enjoying the scenery of my surroundings, stopping and getting out of my car. There is a world outside the perimeter of concrete and steel which has a pace and excitement all its own.

I realize that He is God of both the urban and rural areas of the world I live in; this give me joy.

Enjoy the celebration of Independence Day and the freedom we both share.

Blessings and peace.

I feel the same way! I think that being in the midst of nature and taking the time to be still in spirit, allows us to recognize and commune with His awesome work. Could this be one of His ways of reaching out to our senses, our consciousness, and letting us know that, "HE IS?" Blessings!

There is something about God's Creation that pulls us closer to Himself. In doors we are surrounded by things man creates and it pales in comparison to the beauty and majesty of the Creator of Creation.

Sarah, I do as well...something about nature gives me peace of mind and great strength! I have a post on Sunday about this very thing...

Beautiful post, Sarah. I love the song. This video is different from the one I've seen before. They're both beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

I too love to be out in nature and take in all the beauty of God's creation. It's easier to hear Him whisper when the sounds of a busy life are left behind and your alone with the trees and birds. As I'm walking I like to imagine what it would have been like to walk with God in the cool of the day as Adam and Eve did in the garden.
