Set the World on Fire

Linking up with Charlotte and Ginger who every week host Spiritual Sunday

"Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire." St. Catherine of Siena

I want to live my best life......and I've figured out....to do that.....is to give back what's been given to me......and I've been given so much. When I give back.....I feel alive and really happy.

I was asked to run a group for women....to share my story....and give them hope to see that nothing is impossible to overcome. I loved it. And mostly....they loved it.  I've agreed to do it again for the next two weeks. And I'm speaking again....on July 6th. It's getting easier. Mostly because the response has been overwhelming.

I can see now that everything I went through...all those things I hated....those things I didn't want anyone to know...has given me an edge.....something that shows hope to others fighting their demons....their battles....who are living on the edge......And it's all because of Him....His grace....His gentle touch.....I want to live my best life. I want to set the world on fire...to see Him...to show that nothing is impossible to overcome...

How Long O Lord.....will you forget me?

I, too, see that my life's story is actually God's story and He wants me to share it. May He give us grace to share with a hurting world without a thought for ourselves. blessings on your day!

Hi Sarah,

I too have discovered that living my life with a passion for Christ and others has liberated me from bondage. Freedom in Christ is like no other experience imaginable for me. You're right, the things we experience in our lives help to prepare us for understanding that the grace of God will both lead and keep us free from the bondage of pain and shame.

If there is a digital recording available, I would love to listen to your upcoming July 6th event (let me know).

Blessings and peace.

MTJ

PS: I'm glad the comment post works for me again.

It's awesome that God uses "ordinary" people and turn them into "extra-ordinary"...that is, if those people's hearts are willing to obey. You had shown that...I just shared with another blog Matthew 6:33. If we seek Him first, all the things will be given to us as well. It's not easy but it becomes easy when we surrender.

God bless you sister and may you have a wonderful weekend. May the Lord continue to guide you and place you in those areas where many need to hear your story, read your story and have the hope that He grants...Hope that never perish...

Hello Sarah, You know, hardship can make us cry for ourselves or it can make us reach out as a light to give hope to others.. Can you imagine how your testimony uplifts another perhaps ecperiencing some of what you did?? You may never know who hears the Lord and receives healing through your words...because often the ones most profoundly touched, say nothing. It is wonderful after the pain, to see the rainbow. Much love Crystal Mary.. xx

your pain was not in vain. God is so faithful to use our pain to heal and restore another - beyond ourselves. I call that a double portion of healing.

Share the healing - 40 - 60 - 100 fold. Every time you share, it strengthens your own healing. Just think - you are becoming stronger and stronger. :)

hugs,
Patrina <

Look how strong you have become. I am glad your speaking arrangements are getting easier for you, although I know you did very well. You have turned the pain around and have become an inspiration to so many of us. Thank you for sharing your story and God and your faith. hugs dear one.

God doesn't make mistakes - you had to suffer to reach out and comfort so many. I know the gifts you speak of, the gifts we receive when God uses us in that way!
God bless you for your service!

Sarah,

My life's verse is 2 Cor 2:1-3...This verse encourages me to believe that even my physical trial that I have suffered can be used to comfort someone else. So happy God doesn't waste anything that we have gone through. You are an inspiration to so many. :)

Blessings,
Tammy

It's the difference between sympathy and empathy. I can reach people who have walked your path but maybe wouldn't be as effective speaking about the loss of a child. For me, that would be switched. I think that's why God wants us to tell OUR story -- the authenticity shines through the "true-ness." Thrilled about what God is doing through you!

Blessings,
Pamela

Max Lucado said this about the Apostles after Jesus went to be with the Father, "Within them dwells a fire not found on earth. Christ has taught them. The Father has forgiven them. The Spirit indwells them. They are not the same."

I think the same can be said about us...about all who Jesus touches and teaches, and we are not the same as we were before. Yet there are some who experience things that not all do. They are chosen to bear witness to His faithfulness in and through some of the most difficult of circumstances here in this life. Their testimonies shine like bright lights in a dark and hurting world, giving hope to those suffering alone in the darkness and those who are victims of other people's sin. You, my friend, are one of those bright lights shining for Jesus, giving others hope.
Keep shining for Him brightly!

I just love it that you wrote this! I love to pray for you and expect God to set many souls free. I have been asking Him for miracles to follow your message - signs and wonders - and it looks like He is answering. Thank you for your obedience to help so many people!

This is great...I too want to set the world on fire, but what yelled at me the most is my daughter has a testimony, that even though it is hard for me to hear, God will use it to show His glory. We each have a story...our test have become our testimonies and when we share other's faith is strengthened...so glad you are sharing yours and strengthening others faith.

I know that I have been through things in my life that were painful. I also know that if I hadn't gone through those things I would not be the person I am today and I like myself better today then I did before the pain.
