Life

Linking up with Charlotte and Ginger who weekly host Spiritual Sunday

"What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again." Suzanne Collins

They sit on top of fences, roofs, branches....red-breasted robins proudly announcing spring is here. Buds forming on tips of branches...flower heads pushing through the soil.... Signs of life....it's everywhere now. People smiling...friendlier...happy.

It's the way I feel when I walk through the woods....and sense His presence. Everywhere I look I see Him....in the trees that tower above me....in the streams trickling happy sounds.....in the birds....herons, cardinals, woodpeckers, chickadees......that flit back and forth as if they're dancing to music only they can hear.

I attended a funeral yesterday....a good friend's older sister died....She was a believer....and the funeral was about life not death. It left me knowing....at every stage of life.....even in death...His presence is there....whispering hope...speaking life.

Everywhere I go I see You....

Sarah,
What a wonderful post and it is so important to focus on the 'life' part since the death part keeps us from fully living!
I love Michael W. Smith; any of his songs are my favorite :)
Thank you for sharing your life and your heart!

Sarah - you probably know by now that I love to be outside where I can see the beautiful things God has created. All creation sings His praises.

And that's where our hope is...when He conquered death!!! May God's comfort cover your friend's family...Praying all is well with you sister! Take care and God bless. Enjoy "life" His way...

I like Michael w. Smith. The beautiful signs of spring assure us of a renewal, too. But the beauty is not worth the devestating weather.

Believers lives are celebrations and that brings me comfort. May your friends be comforted also.

Spring has been a delight to me this year. I see God in each flower that pushes through the ground. It's harder to see God in the Alabama devastation but may they see Him in the people of those who commit to help.

I'm sure that is just as it should be. When we know Him, we see Him everywhere. His stamp is on everything that He created. How wonderful that the funeral you attended was the same way!

Blessings, Debbie

I am so happy for spring this year, ...even if we got several inches MORE than a FOOT of rain this week! Your post reminds us of the faithfulness and goodness of God in life, in death, and in every season.

I went to a memorial for a couple yesterday. It is a breath of fresh air knowing that they believed in Christ. Your video is beautiful, I love that song.
