Thankful Thursday

Thanks Dayle for hosting Simple Pleasures.

It is impossible to feel grateful and depressed in the same moment. ~ Naomi Williams

There's something neat about saying thanks. It brings colour to my life...makes me feel so good. I never used to say it but I've been given so much that I've learned no matter what happens....good or bad....life really is a gift. This week I'm grateful for .....

-attending my second toastmaster's meeting. I even stood up and spoke. 29 seconds...okay...not alot....but at least I did it.
-our upcoming trip to San Fransisco.  I used to panic about leaving home but I feel just a slight panic....mostly...I'm excited.
-My oldest was honored at her school for being kind...helpful...always smiling.  She makes me proud even if no one ever recognized her awesomeness. And to think....she's my kid.
-a new friend that makes me laugh. She came across the oceans...moved in next door and we've hit it off.
-Faith....that gives me wings....and helps me to push past my fears. Knowing He's in  my corner...running with me....something inside me knows I can do anything.

With His overwhelming love sis, no one can't help but say "thanks" to the One Who deserves it all! Your grateful attitude reminds me as well to always be grateful for both big and small things. 29 seconds...little thing...but it might have been a big moment for someone out there who needed to hear from you.
May God be with you as you go to SF. Don't forget to drive in the "crooked-est" street and those Ghirardelli chocolates! Blessings and love sweet sister!

I love the one about your daughter's award the best. Those are actually the kind of things that I most desire my kids to be known for. The other awesomeness... that's just gravy on the taters.

And I'm so proud of you for the speaking one. It would be a huge praise around here if I could just LIMIT my speaking to that amount of time.

I always, always, love your thankful posts.
In fact, I have started listing my own. I just don't blog it yet.

Congratulations on your oldest being honored.
That is something to be proud of.
It says something about the parents also.
Keep up the good work!

I agree with you, finding things to give thanks for does make us feel good! There really is so much to praise God for... blessings both large and small. THat's what I like about Thankful Thursday. Its a tool to help us do just that.
Hope the rest of your week is painted with beautiful colors, dear friend.

Only when we stop and realize the joy that is happening around us, do we then bubble "thank yous" like a stream awakening from its winter sleep. I believe so strongly that our children are the best examples of the best in us!

Thank you for sharing....

Wow,, exciting news about your youngest Sis...Kindness soothes our souls.. Just think what it'd be like if more people knew our LORD and Savior in a real personal way... He just naturally creates in us a kinder spirit...
I missed TT today,, we were sooo busy in our office here at home.. Praising God for that too though, of course!!! :0) There is nothing better for us to all keep in our corner ...
Our Precious Jesus, has been and will always be my everything...In a troubled, and messed up world,,,there is His UNCHANGING, UNENDING Love..
Our Abba Father, Comforter, El Sahddai....
May God continue to bless you Sis,, in mighty ways as you continue to seek Him and His kingdom with each and every breath you take.. May all we do, in thought action, word and deed be forever for His Glory...Amen
Love and Blessings on you from God above~~~Hugs Dena

Thankfulness is sorely lacking today. I tell my kids to be thankful all the time and remind them why. It leads to contentment.

What a great list! And hey, congratulations on your Toastmaster speech! I hate to speak in public, so I hear where you are coming from on that one.
