Thankful Thursday

Linking up with Greg http://gregsgeneralstore.blogspot.com/ and Dayle http://alittleofthisandthat2.blogspot.com/

"I want to thank you, Lord, for life and all that's in it. Thank you for the day and for the hour, and the minute " Maya Angelou

I didn't always feel thankful....I didn't always thank God for the day or hour or minute. But I do now. Today, there's so much I'm thankful for, like:

- life...just being alive - taking a breathe.....and feeling alive. I'm so glad He let me live.
- the hills near our home....climbing them....feeling the force of nature with every step..I love being outside in His creation
- birds, chipmunks, rabbits, squirrels - They always make me smile.
- the warmth of a friend's smile...even a stranger's  - it somehow affirms my worth.
- His whisper in my spirit....takes away all the fear....all the shame....all the angst and makes me feel like I can do anything....

Good morning Sarah! I'm thankful for smiles, for silence, for hearing Him Whisper...when you know God spoke to you...it does take away the fear!
God bless you!
Love,
Julie

Amen to all the above! Walking outdoors is one of my all time favorite simple pleasures. Unfortunately, the weather here right now doesn't permit that. Sooner or later it will change and I'll start walking again. :) Best wishes for a beautiful day! Tammy

A lovely thankful post! What you are saying about being alive and enjoying nature is so well expressed with this horse just running free. I think the more we try to think of things to be thankful for, it can change our outlook.

This is beautifully written. I have come to expect that when I visit here. You have such a lovely way of expressing your soul in words.

I stand with you thankful for life.
And I listen with you for the quiet whisper in the spirit which takes away fear and shame.

And I'm thankful that I visited.

We should all smile more often! I think the smile of a loved one and a complete stranger are equally simple, but wonderful pleasures!

An excellent list, and I love the photo of the wild horse!

Love what you have to say about the chipmunks, rabbits and squirrels! I can be having the "worst" day (or so, I think) ... then catch the eye of one of God's creatures ... and something just melts inside. Everyday blessings, yes!

The last two lines spoke directly to me. I love the affirmation I get from the universe. I am learning to be happy about the good and accept the sad stuff too.

I am also thankful for being alive today.
There's nothing like studying God's creation to make you feel that.
