Spiritual Sunday "Born to Believe"

Spritiual Sundays are hosting by Charlotte and Ginger. To join in..post then add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com

"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." Sir Winston Churchill

I've never wanted to be noticed. I spent most of my life trying hard not to be seen.  I've never been comfortable standing up in front of people or standing out in any way. But lately....I've been feeling this restlessness....a deep yearning that won't go away....a hunger to give back for everything that has been given to me.

I feel this burning desire deep down....a craving to be all that He created me to be. I long for Him to use me in some way...to use what I lived...to help someone else find freedom....and to know hope.

And though I may not know the answers....I can finally say I am free....and  becoming who I was born to be.....

I think it's beautiful the way the Lord is leading you and raising you up. He is the one that gives us new desires to be all we can be.

That is my desire too Sarah, that I be used by God, and that all my God given talents will be used and be able to help some on their way, we are saved to spread the gospel, and we live daily unto Christ that he may be glorified, hugs my friend, and have a very blessed Sunday.

Dearest Sarah, God does use you, others see this yet you yourself don't quite, as yet.
I understand how you feel. I don't like to be out front...and because of that I often hide myself. It was very difficult sharing my spiritual experience this week, but I felt directed to do so. Maybe sometimes our own fear's of putting ourselves up, actually prevents a witness to Him?
You are very special...you are His beloved and He does, rejoice in you!!! Hugs my sister.

Sarah~ Your struggles and victories, when used to help others will bring sooo much glory to the Lord! I know it's amazing how the Lord can use those very things to give us such compassion and understanding for others!

Bless you as you go about your Fathers business!

After we start to heal it is through reaching out to help someone else that we see things from a different perspective; we see others in need and that give and take seem to mend that foundation that we need.
Ms. Boyle has such a lovely voice; I hope that we will continue to hear from her. I also hope that she adjusts to being in the limelight - she can use prayers also.

Sarah,
It takes a lot more courage and energy to be in the limelight than I realized especially if you are an introvert like me. I have always shied away from it myself yet I manage to be in the spotlight whether I like it or not.

By merely writing one book, we have somehow or other spread our wings to experience the freedom to fly with a full wing span. It's a good feeling in many ways! I'm learning to like it and to be grateful for the experience. With God as our pilot, I know we don't fly alone!

Charlotte and I were listening to Susan sing this song on the way to church this morning and Charlotte commented that this was her favorite of all the songs on the CD. I like what you said and what you are feeling. I am going to be preaching again in the month of September and I am going to be preaching about surrendering our moments to God. I pray that you will live in the power of the moment and surrender your moments to God as He leads you.

Dear Sweet Sarah,
You help so many every day. Let God fulfill your heart KNOWING that when we come to your page our hearts are filled with new hope. You are a true inspiration and you are reaching many every day. Thank you. Love, D.

Peggy said...

Blessings my sweet friend Sarah, what can I add to the many accolades above except that God made you for such a time as this! You, as Susan Boyle's song says & her simple life exemplifies, are who you were born to be and you have starting witnessing this through your book to freedom! You opened the door into the darkness, the deception and exposed them and God brought His Truth in (finally)(I'm sure that's how you felt at that last point) and now God will equip you to continue whether that is speaking or just sharing on a one to one basis or getting involved in some community or church outreach to women in a similar circumstances to be touched by Jesus too! I know that burning desire but just wait on the Lord & allow Him to direct your path, your words & through His Spirit alive in you... HE will continue to bless your heart as you bless others! Thanks for sharing the song & your message!!!
Love & hugs,
Peggy

This is my favorite song of Susan Boyle's. I wish everyone could discover what it is they were born to be. I'm afraid most people never do. Thank you for sharing your heart with us.
Blessings,
Charlotte

I don't think we are born to be one thing. I think it's a journey that shifts and changes and evolves. As long as we keep walking forward with our hand in the Lord's, then we will find satisfaction, we will help others, we will grow.
