Spiritual Sunday "LIght of the World"

Thank you Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiiritual Sundays. To join in, post - then add your name at  http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

For a long time...I lived in darkness. And no matter what I did...I just kept spiraling down even further. I saw no hope....no way out. I kept falling deeper and deeper....Then one day....He touched me..pulled me out of that darkness and turned my life around.

A few days after I became a believer, I looked up at the sky, and noticed a beam of light circling the city. I later learned this light provided safety for incoming planes but as I stood there transfixed, watching it go around and around, God whispered in my heart, The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness cannot comprehend it.

Nothing had worked to free me.  Only Him. The Light of the World stepped down into darkness...opened my eyes....and helped me to see.

That is a wonderful and powerful testimony. God works in special ways for each one of us. What you said about spiraling down.....it reminded me of the book "Pilgrims Progess" and our walk through life. We sink down but then He comes along and lifts us up. God Bless you heaps for your sharing.

Hi Sarah,

Praise God for His Light that shines through our darkness! I know by experience how blessed it is to be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ when I was going through a very dark period in my life. He is the Light that is shining now daily in my life. May He continues to shine His Light in your life daily too! Thanks for your visit and kind words of encouragement. It's really nice to hear from you. I am thankful to God for the grace and strength He is giving me daily to walk with Him. Take care and have a very blessed week!

Warm regards,
Nancie

When I was in a coma of darkness HE was the light that gave me healing.

"They who follow me will have the light of life".

What an awesome faith story! I think one of the hardest things to break free from is hopelessness. God is so good!

Only God, the Light of the World....could do what He's done for you and many others like you. Only God! indeed. Thankful and grateful for His transforming LOVE. His touch - His outstretched hand is an invitation to everywhere we never knew we wanted to go. And He takes us there. He abides with us there. He promises to never ever leave us! WOW! That's a promise like none other.

Keep growing closer to Jesus
