Spiritual Sunday "Hope"

thanks Charlotte and Ginger for hosting these Spiritual Sundays. To join in, post and add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

This week....I've spoken to alot of people who are struggling and hurting....broken from things they can't seem to get out from under: depression, discouragment, fighting addictions, dealing with cancer, divorce and kids pulling away....I remember - the streets, the drugs, the darkness...feeling like life wasn't worth living. I had no hope...but then He touched me....I don't know how or why.....but He did.... and all of a sudden that no hope went to Know Hope! Nothing else gave me the freedom....the joy....the peace that He did....nothing else worked like the gentle touch of His power. He is the hope living in me, the rock in whom I trust.....

Oh Sarah, I too, have seen a lot of hurting people. I commute by bus, so I'm out in the public. Every day I encounter people who are lost, confused, heartbroken, afraid, downtrodden.
We need to share the hope that we've found in Jesus. If not with words, with our actions. Even something as simple as a smile can touch someone's heart. Great post, outstanding video.
Have a great week, dear sister in Christ.

Sarah,
I have been in the same situation this week. I literally gave one of my clients a figurine that was a little boy "holding onto a hope balloon to hold during the session". The enemy has been whispering hopelessess in her ear. We who are holding onto hope are shining the light for others.

I am so happy you are holding up the light up hope to all of us.

Blessings,
Tammy

Thank-you for the video!

I believe that all things are possible...as a person who came out the other side of depression and pain.

My first time here...for SS...loving it!

Your words are great, a witness for Christ. Have you heard my hymn I wrote, Hope of Glory?

He truly is the hope of the nations. How I wish more people in all the nations knew it and accepted it. Thank you for sharing. I'm so glad to know of what he has done in your life. It is a great testimony.

“Hope never abandons you; you abandon it” - George Weinberg.

I love that quote because it reminds me it's the same way with Jesus. He is always there for us. It is us who chooses not to be with Him. I like Brian Doerksen's songs. Powerful post. Have a great week sister. God bless and protect you.

Yes, I know what you mean. I've several friends this week with loved ones who've passed and some are sick with cancer. We have hope that the next life will be painless and sorrow free. Thanks for coming by my blog and joining me on this journey we're all on!

I love discovering new-to-me praise and worship songs. This was a very encouraging one, particularly since I am home from church with a cough. Thank you for a special joy! :)

For all that are "hurting" The good news is there is ONE who has all power. If I can accept hardship as a pathway to peace I am able to find hope. Have a great week

So many are hurting. Praise God for your awesome testimony of the love of our God. Somebody with a powerful faith must have been praying for you. I wonder who. I would love to hear their story since I'm praying for a prodigal.
