Spiritual Sunday "How Long...".

A big thank-you to Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiritual Sundays. Want to participate? Post and then add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

I lived in constant pain and shame and fear - always running...always hiding from those who wanted to hurt me. I used to raise my fist in the air, scream at God that He didn't care...and dare Him to kill me....I didn't care. Life was too hard....it was too dark.  I was tired of living the way I was.

But one day...I was taken to the hospital - I was dying..I heard a voice...'pray in my name.' Pushing away the oxygen, I sat up and whispered  - Jesus. That's all it took. He touched me....He was the key that broke the chains....that set me free....the 14 year drug addiction...gone. Just like that. I had lived as a prodigal for a long time...but He never gave up. He never stopped trying to reach me.....And the amazing thing....what He did for me...He'll do for anyone who  calls on His name. No one has to 'live in darkness and despair.'You think you know the story? You don't know the half of it....

Blessings my sweet Sarah...:) When I read the MIRACLES in your life without "knowing the half of it", I thank God for you more & more! It is I who SMILE :) BIG SMILE when I see you... You are AN OVERCOMER, a History maker, no longer a prodigal, my sweet sister...a survivor that thrives on just the name of Jesus! Thank You LORD, for saving Sarah! Thank You for taking her out of the darkness and bringing her into Your Light so that she now can set others free!

I love many of Brian's songs but this one was new to me. Thanks for sharing this. The time is NOW...'till we return to dust but if God is with us, who can be against us? "Remember man/woman that thou art dust and unto dust you shall return"...is what the priest says in the Catholic church on Ash Wednesday (no longer Catholic but I have not forgotten some things).
So we wait but we are now more ready than when we first begun! In the wake of earthquakes and tsunami's, rumors of wars, etc. we must ask, "How long?" So we must reach others and share Jesus as you do each time you testify of His glory and how He changed you! Praise God!

EnJOY a wonderful Spiritual Sunday!

I worked at the prison's Intake last night. Everyone returned after having been seen in ER for high blood pressure, headaches. Name it. But the root of them all? "Substance abuse". I thought of you...of how it would be great that one day, in the Lord's perfect time, that these people will turn to Him because there is no other solution. Rehab will not work. Replacing heroin with Methadone will not fix it either. They just end up abusing the new meds.

I'm so glad the Lord opened your heart, your mind...and that I am glad we serve a God Who just never lets go. Glory to Him forever. You are an inspiration sister!

Ah, Sarah, what an awesome testimony He gave to you to share with the world. His redemption makes all the suffering worthwhile, doesn't it, because now He uses you to touch lives of similarly suffering people. Blessings on you now and always.

God is so good. Thank you for sharing your life story and the power of God to change, not only our destination (our salvation-the penalty of sin paid-Christ FOR us), but our destiny (our sanctification-the power of Christ IN US). And by this shall of men know you are My disciples, in that you have love for one another. May our love for each other within and without the body of Christ, demonstrate for all to see, that we belong to Jesus Christ. I have determined to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified. Blessings.

it is an exciting thing when the Lord finds someone ecause He does find us when we are ready with an empty self. I knew a fellow who drank all his life and suffered from the feeling of being unloved. i prayed like crazy that he would be healed and one day he pourd out his last drink and God answered those prayers. he has never touched a drink since and now he loves God too. God is so good.
