Thankful Thursday

Linking with Cami Thankful Thursdays

"I know that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after." Ernest Hemingway

I've learned a tough lesson. Not everyone who claims to be a believer acts morally, ethically or honestly. I trusted someone and he lied. And he used the Bible to prove his point and I fell for it. When I found out the truth.....

At first I was confused....then upset...but the overwhelming support of family and good friends has been amazing. Because of them I'm choosing to let go and move forward. I'm thankful that........

-friends care enough to rally around and point me to a higher ground
-What happened is only a blip in life....not horribly devastating that I can't bounce back from it.
-I've learned a lesson...okay it's been a tough one....but now I'm aware.....and won't fall for this again. Boy is it easy to be conned!
-my 16 yr old who witnessed all this said, Why aren't people more honest and kind. It would make the world so much nicer. I didn't know what to say. Later we went for a hike. We found a set of keys. Passing a house we asked a lady if she had lost them. She hadn't....but she jumped in her car and said let's go find the person. It was dark but she zipped around the area until finally she drove us home. She turned to us and said, one thing for sure about all of us, we really care about people. I looked at my daughter. Yep. He knew she needed to see kindness in action.
-that He's a great amazing God no matter what!
