Thankful Thursday - Purpose

"Life is being on the wire. Everything else is just waiting." Karl Wallenda.

Being on the wire to me is all about living my passion, doing what I love, being active in the things that make my heart sing.

For me, it's living free, giving back, sharing hope, making a difference, hands on.

And it's that hands on experience that drives me to set the bar higher, do more and live my life with purpose. There's nothing else that truly excites, that makes me feel incredibly alive and free.

Purpose driven. Doing the thing I'm called to do. Stepping out, taking a risk and then another and another to make what plays in my heart real.  Sure there are scary moments and doubts that muck around in my head and some people happen by who don't see or feel what I do and question why I would even consider such a thing when it seems unlikely to happen, But passion and purpose drive me.

And there are waiting times, the spaces that feel empty, lonely, when it feels like stepping onto the wire won't ever happen again. But waiting is part of the dance of life, part of incubating the dream. Eventually that dream will become reality and I will climb back onto the wire and GO.

It's that time now - The wait has been long. I've been writing grants, connecting with people, leaders in the community, and taking steps to make the project in my heart a reality.

Happy Thursday, Guys.

It is simply wonderful when you discover what your purpose in life is. I have always liked the quote by our Island author, LM Montgomery, "Some people go through life trying to find out what the world holds for them only to find out too late that it's what they bring to the world that really counts." Have a lovely weekend. From my home to yours....

Hugs from PEI,
Sandi

That waiting is so difficult, it's the time we need to have the most faith but not the easiest for sure. I felt like I was in limbo while I was waiting to work at home, now that it has happened, I can see that I can finally move forward by stepping out on that wire... as scary as it is, I know that the blessing will outweigh it... I can't wait to hear what is coming together for you Nikki xox
