Thankful Thursday - Courage

“It takes courage to believe the best is yet to come, especially when you're flat on your back and don’t know if you’re going to see tomorrow. I believe optimism is a choice - a muscle that gets stronger with use. Right foot, left foot…just keep moving.” Robin Roberts.

I meet them everyday, people who shine hope, pushing, striving, hopeful to overcome some physical or emotional limitation.

Inwardly strong and incredibly courageous they refuse to stay down. Refuse to give up. Refuse to give in to the thing that wants to hold them back.

These people are my heros, the ones that motivate me to try when things don't go well, to hold on to hope, and mostly to never, ever give up.

Life isn't always fair or kind or gracious, but the courage to stand up after being knocked down and put one shaky foot in front of another continues to inspire and amaze me.

Happy Thursday, Guys.

It is difficult for many to overcome their struggles, but still they keep trying. Great post! Hope you have a great day!

It constantly amazes me what the human spirit can survive with courage ... it humbles me to hear some people's stories of trials and how the used the trials to become stronger xox

I admire those folks who overcome adversity. Courage is a gift and when I needed it, God gave it to me. Most of us have a story. We have to look beyond ourselves and believe that there is Someone who is greater than we are. Someone who takes us by the hand even when we're not aware of it. I'm so thankful I know who that Someone is! Thanks for your post, Nikki. I love how you shine through your posts.

Blessings & hugs,
Sandi

It‘s hard to generalize.sometimes it‘s better to let go,give in, rather than struggle. I remember the case of a friend of mine who decided to denounce corruption at his place of work. I warned him of the timing, I said he should wait for a partner or two,not do it alone as they will destroy him,but he was stubborn (or courageous to some)and he got fired...

I couldn't agree more. Life isn't always easy so we need courage. We need to press on.
