Thankful Thursday - Kindness

“Kindness I discovered, is everything in life." Issac Bashevis Singer.

Abuse changes who we are. It changes who we become. It changes how we move in the world. And so does kindness.

Kindness is what motivates me to give more, be more, and live stronger. Kindness is what gave me the oomph to live my best life. The kindness others showed me when I had nothing to give back.   Kindness trumped all the dark yucky stuff.

Kindness gave me hope. It showed a better way, a softer, more gentle one.

Today I carry inside me all those people who showed me kindness. They made a difference in my life, some in small ways, others big. They're all there a reminder to pay their kindness to forward, and give to give hope to others struggling where I was.

Off to run a workshop. Hope to do just that this morning.

Happy Thursday, Guys.

Kindness shown to us makes us better and we in turn like to extend kindness to others. I remember as a young mother with a new baby many years ago, the kindness which was shown to my hubby and me, drew us to a church. Kindness is what moves the hearts of people especially those who are down and out. It is a fruit of the Spirit and may we all be filled with it today so we can touch the lives of others. Have a wonderful day, Nikki, and thank you for sharing from your heart.

Blessings,
Sandi

"Kindness" was my word of the year last year... Still working on practicing it this year. Doing a study on the Book of James now, and really, that is an undercurrent that runs all through the book.

Great words today. It's interesting to me how we sometimes get the terms kindness and tolerance mixed up. I love Jesus' example - He was never tolerant of sinful behavior, but always kind to the sinner. It is His message of love that will touch people in the deepest recesses of their soul.

Keep on, sister, with your wonderful work!

GOD BLESS!

Nikki, I love your positive messages... I have seen the effects of abuse where one person rises above it and another wallows in it... Kindness certainly has a great deal to do with how a person responds... but the person receiving the kindness needs to accept it as well and that is what makes us even stronger... you are incredible girl xox

The world would be a far better place if there was even more kindness.
I have been fortunate to find a lot of kindness in my world - perhaps I am blessed?
But I to do my best to spread kindness, a smile and a helping hand.

Hope your workshop goes well.

All the best Jan

I really believe we can change the world with something as gentle and quiet as kindness. :)
