Thankful Thursday

In China, we don't consider someone truly beautiful until we have known them for a long time and we know what's underneath the skin.   Ziyi Zhang

Beautiful  people - For me, they're the ones who have an incredible beauty on the inside. They're consistently kind. And they care, really care about people. They have a grace, a passion, a positive spirit.

Beautiful people - so many have come into my life and deposited a sweetness that has changed me for the better. Grateful for.....

-My girls...without a doubt, they have made the biggest impact on helping me live free and kind.
-L.O. - taught me that everyone deserves dignity, regardless of income, race or life position. I am forever grateful to L.O. who is definitely one of the beautiful people.
-Mr. R. - gave a street kid money, no questions asked, not once but again and again and again. His kindness and compassion to me has never left and has taught me to do the same for others.
-G.A. Her gentle spirit touched mine in such a powerful way that although she lost her battle with cancer, she lives in me......reminding me to live strong, live kind, live with compassion.
-Mostly that He loves me no matter what. He hangs in, forgives, is always in my corner routing for me. He's my anchor, something to hold onto when life hurts or when I'm afraid.

Beautiful people - all of you also fit in that catagory!!!! Happy Thursday, Guys.

You miss Nikki are a beautiful person! Always thankful and always encouraging! I think the most beautiful people let God have all of their heart and it's Him we see shining through!
Love ya sister!

What a lovely and uplifting post, Nikki! I think we're all much richer in spirit because of who you are. Those of us who have met you personally and those of us who have 'met' you here in Blogland are better for having known you. When the Lord Jesus touches our lives, we in turn can touch others. We are blessed in that His light shines through us and He is glorified. That's what makes this life so rewarding.

Hugs from PEI,
Sandi

How nice, Nikki! Might I just say that you are one of the beautiful people, too!!

I just have to say that the most beautiful person I have ever known is my mom. She exhibits the kindest, gentlest spirit. She has beauty that shines through her. And, her love for her Savior is the most beautiful thing about her!

GOD BLESS!

Nikki, this is so beautiful ... more people need to learn to love the person inside, that is who the person in... not what is outside.

I am always so touched by what you write and with how much love and compassion you write with..

Have a wonderful weekend, girl :)

Nikki, this is such a beautiful post... I agree. We can't really say someone is beautiful unless we have known their character. Inner beauty is what really matters. Thanks for sharing that insight. I remember Mr. R. from your first book. That was really touching.

Shabbat Shalom!

Much love
Lidia
