Thankful Thursday

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Helen Keller

I love stepping out onto new adventures. This year has already started out with a couple. First, I've been called to jury duty. Never done that. Don't know what to expect, but it sounds sort of exciting.

And something I've been toying around with - going back to school. I love learning and the thought really excites me. And today, I'm running another group to empower women based on my first book. I love these groups b/c not only are the women encouraged, but I always come home inspired by their bravery to reach for their best. I'm thankful for.....

-opportunities to give back all the good that has been given to me.
-someone donated $5000 to put my first book into a prison edition. They've started the process. Once done, they'll distribute into women's prisons across North America. Very cool.
-getaways. We started planning a holiday for March Break and the summer. Just talking and thinking about it is total fun.
-Kids preparing for University and high school. Scary and exciting.
-Mostly...knowing life with Him is always an adventure. Every year He opens new doors. Every day, is exciting b/c He's got plans for the two of us. Every moment shines b/c He's in it.

Happy Thursday, Guys.

Great news about you book going into women's prison. With all that you are doing, would you have time to go to school? I still would love to go back to school. Like you, I love to learn. Go for it.

Hi Nikki,
I love reading your thankful lists! You always encourage. New doors and opportunities are abounding! I hope you don't get a squeaky chair for jury duty...I did. I wanted to laugh out loud...but you can't...it was a long week. But Interesting none the less. I can't wait to hear where you're going on vacation. It's always fun to plan. School...I say if it excites you then go for it! His plans are the best...His story includes you!
Happy Thursday!
Love,
jul

Hello Nikki,
Congrats on your book being made available to women's prisons; that's fantastic!
I'm late visiting this week because Hubby's on vacation this week and I have a lot on my plate besides. It will be interesting to see how the Lord works everything out. I am thankful for His shoulder to lean on and His wisdom. Wishing you and your family some exciting adventures coming up. Thanks for your visit and enjoy your weekend.

Blessings and hugs,
Sandi

I am amazed at the way God has opened the doors of ministry through your book. Yes, I know that our God is in the business of doing the amazing, but I think we become lukewarm Christians when we stop being, well, AMAZED.

He is using you in such a mighty way. I love your look ahead plans for the year to return the goodness in the form of doing to others. Well done.

Hi Nikki,
It sounds thrilling to go to jury duty, even though it is your first time, it'll be a wonderful experience, I think.
It's really fantastic that you get to help others with your new ventures. Writing is a great way to communicate with others.
Have a blessed time, Nikki!
God bless!
All the Best,
Poet Starry.
