"You love me real or not real? Real!" Suzanne CollinsHung out with friends a lot this week.....and talked.....the real stuff.
I used to live masked....hiding the real me. But something I discovered about love - it pushes us out of our hiding place.....and gives courage to show up just as we are.
Grateful for:
-Creative people.....met up with a couple of writer friends. The time flew and the bonding between us deepened.
-sisters - I got only one. We were separated for the longest time but we managed to find our way back to each other and have become incredibly close.
-best friends...R's been in my life forever. She's gone through all life's downs and ups with me. She knows pretty much everything about me and I her.....awesome friendship
-old friends - he found me on google. Now we chat everyday. He's a writer and one heck of a crazy guy....very cool to have him back in my world.
-Mostly the One who showed me the incredible love and gave me the courage to be real. He taught me love demands nothing....it waits....it goes the extra mile....and it accepts just because.

Your opening two paragraphs I can so relate to now. It is interesting now to even think back when I began my blog and called it "Just Be Real." How much that would mean now to me this day. Thank you for sharing your grateful list! Blessings to you Nikki for sharing your heart.

Oh Nikki, yes. It is the unconditional and merciful love of the Lord that allows me to be *real* with HIM! I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father who knows me completely (better than I do myself), and yet who loves me.
I am grateful for His listening ear, His shoulder to cry on, and the almighty shelter of His wings.

I have been looking for things to be grateful for this week... I know I have many things... for some reason, I felt so alone... I felt lost... I still do... I am working on changing that...

What a blessing to have people in our lives that we can be our true authentic selves! Thankfully God never asks us to compare ourselves to others; He desires us to place our uniqueness and integrity entirely in Him, and stay real! :)

Oh! This one is a wonderful post.
It is so true that we should talk about what we really are and do,
not be ashamed of what people may think or judge us for something that they do not like about us.
We should be truthful to ourselves.
Anyway, God sees our hearts, before we even know it...
