Peace

Linking with Charlotte Spiritual Sunday  and Laura Faith Filled Friday

"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." Albert Camus

First thing I did this morning was run to the window and look outside. Everything everywhere was white. It all looked magical and incredibly beautiful.

Before it snowed yesterday I told a friend I couldn't wait for spring b/c I don't like winter....I hibernate too much...it's too cold to be out  long and I miss getting outside and feeling the earth and sky and sun....

And then it snowed. And snowed some more. And kept snowing.

Sometimes in my life things have gotten so horribly tough and I just wanted it to change and I couldn't get  the purpose for all the pain and tough stuff? And then something incredible comes out of it.....and I'm left stunned and completely humbled.

Whatever my lot....it is well my soul....

I grow tired of winter, also, but there's nothing like a beautiful snowfall! God does grace our hard times with beautiful days. "It is Well" is at the top of my favorite songs. Thanks for sharing.

You said you thought you would get snow and you did. You know sometimes I feel like hibernating and there is no snow at all. sandie

I'm like you I love Spring...I think it's because we see everything coming back to life and feel the warmth of the sun...it's invigorating! Winter feels more like a push...gotta push through - but there's beauty in the freshly fallen snow...it sparkles in the sunshine. It's best if viewed from a window ;) Love ya! Stay warm! How much did you get?

Hi Sarah
Yes, there is always a summer after the winter! And the more severe the winter, the brighter the summer!
Happy SS

I dont really like much winter, but when I see the beauty of winter, I thank God for it.
It is like our life. We experience four seasons too, but God is with us through these times:)
Here it is -8 and the strong wind makes it colder, but.sun shines and colored the horizon:) and then I thank God for there is still beauty in winter:)

Isn't it wonderful when God pours such beauty and peace into our lives? The spring is all the sweeter after passing through the cold, hard winter!

I know that snow does keep people inside a lot but it is absolutely one of the most beautiful gifts from Heaven.

That's exactly how I feel! I'd rather be in the sun with is beaming on my back than to be in the cold! But the only captivating thing about winter is the snow! The glittery white, fluffy, melt in your mouth snow! Yes I still do eat snow haha -- but also to mention every single snowflake is different. OUR GOD IS SO AWESOME THAT HE MADE EVERY SNOWFLAKE DIFFERENT!
Blessings ♥

Great post...I am in that place of not understanding the struggle and the pain, but He does and He sends the rain to dry land and snow for us to see His beauty
Great post...yes it is well with my soul

Yes, it is well with my soul. I anticipate spring and a new season, but I am determined to savor the season of winter and live intentionally!

I'm ready for spring too, but I know the world does seem transformed when covered in white. It's good to know that God is in charge. :-)

A new layer of snow looks so fresh and clean; there is a certain excitement in the air when all that pretty white stuff is falling down! :) We have seen plenty of it here though, and I am anxiously waiting with eager anticipation for how the season will start changing. It reminds me that as the seasons turn, there is no way for us to get around change either; life itself is a process of change and growth! :)

Blessings and love sweet sister,
Denise

Last Friday, it snowed all day. We got about 8 inches. And I was overcome with a feeling of peace. Somehow in the quiet hush of the winter snow, I felt God's whisper. Sometimes His Presence makes an appearance in the coldest and darkest moments...

GOD BLESS!

Yes, just when we think we got it all figured out, something happens and gets in the way. And in the end, it turns out to be more beautiful than it would have if we had our way.

We are left stunned and humbled. God is the one Who holds the pen, He is the One writing our life story.

Oh, dear friend... you are in my thoughts today, this special day of hearts and love.

Much love
Lidia

I struggle with winter too, but God's handiwork never ceases to amaze me...
