The Cost

Linking with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday  and Laura at Faith Filled Friday

"I know that the whole point—the only point—is to find the things that matter.....and hold on to them...and fight for them, and refuse to let them go." Lauren Oliver

I think there's a fine thread between knowing when to hold on and when to let go.  Sometimes the things that matter most.....are things that make my heart bleed. The pain makes me hang on.....instead of letting go.

It's 'cause I can see something in the distance....a brilliant something or other that I know I need to reach. I can't let go. I tell myself to fight with everything I fight for the truth and right and good. I simply can't give least not until He says 'it's time to let's time for Me to do the rest alone.'

There's a cost involved in the fight....a sacrifice to be made.....but I'm realizing no sacrifice is too great when He's my running partner.

I'm realizing the cost.....I'm standing in the storm but I'm willing to fight.......

Hi Sarah
Oh. How I relate to that utter desolation that wants to make just want to throw in the towel ... and ... then as you reach out, you feel His hand lifting you and carrying you along. Thank you for these words of trust!
Love to you

Sometimes it is hard to know what to hold onto and what to let go. Hopefully, through prayer, He will help us figure it out. I hope you have a nice Sunday!

I can identify with conflict and not knowing what to do.You are right, he is our running partner and will always be with us.

Hi Sarah..

Letting go, and "letting God" isn't always easy, but I love the saying "Let go and let God within you do the work." There are just times when God tells us to “let go,” to trust Him even when the situation looks hopeless. I love that He partners with is!! :)

Thanks for the wonderful words here today...blessings!
