Integrity

Linking with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday and Laura at Faith Filled Friday

“One person of integrity can make a difference.” Elie Wiesel

Integrity - I never thought about that word before. I just assumed most people had it...especially anyone who claimed faith.

Integrity....I've learned a lot about it these last few months. How important it is....it's what creates safety...compassion....respect....and mostly Truth.

Integrity...saying what you mean. Living honest.

The news is full of people who are shown to lack integrity in sports....in business....and in life itself. Some people sound so right and honest and good. Their words are perfect but their actions reveal later on something entirely different.....in their hearts they had motivations and goals contrary to truth.

Integrity...It's how I want to live my life. I never want to show something I'm not. I think a person of integrity is someone whose words can be trusted....someone who shows compassion and respect. I want people to see me that way....to know that what I say is who I am.....

Integrity...it means looking inside my own heart and changing those things in me that aren't right.....

Father...forgive us....drive out the blinding darkness once again

Oh, I learned to define integrity anew during the abuse. Integrity is what you do when no pone looks. He abused me when no one looked and even more though he cheated on me when I didnt look. Yes, integrity creates respect and honesty.

Now, that's a word that speaks volumes! Unfortunately, (I think) some people use it too often, or carelessly because they think it makes them sound important.

Integrity is something that all people don't have - don't know if they didn't learn it - didn't get born with it - or what. But you have to be careful!

I also love the definition of who you are and what you do when nobody is looking...it is a call to higher living. I think the fear of God helps cultivate integrity. Thanks for challenging my thoughts today. Many blessings!

Great post! It is so true that you can tell more by what people do than by what they say. I hope you have a nice Sunday! :)

Integrity - there's a character to reach for!

my church has an on-line venue and one of the forums is for discussion. A recent discussion was on folks who claim to know Christ but carry on negative political discussion using derogatory comments and hateful negativity. They alppear to live one life and claim another.

Kinda gives a bad name for Christianity.

The trait I admire most in my husband is his commitment to integrity. I've known too many who are one thing in church and another in "real" life. Always striving for integrity is how I want to live my life, too.

What a beautiful song. Another new one for me. Integrity...oh how I pray that with this election coming that we can honor those words.

Integrity. Boy, I really think this is important. I grew up believing everyone had integrity and now it seems like almost nobody has it. I agree. A Christian especially should be a person of integrity. Thank you for your thoughts on this important subject.
Blessings,
Charlotte
