Real!!!

Linking with Charlotte at  Spiritual Sunday and Laura at Faith Filled Friday

"You love me. Real or not real? I tell him, "Real." Suzanne Collins

Love is an amazing thing. It gives courage and a freedom. What I can't do or won't because I'm afraid...if someone I love needs me to do it....or wants me to.....then I'll do it. I'll do it for them....simply b/c I love them.

Love has that kind of power....it pushes me beyond my own limitations...makes me do those things that are terrifying and seem absolutely impossible.

And more than me loving someone is when they love me. Their loving me has this strange power...a motivator that pushes to live my best life....and reach for my dreams. Just as abuse and trauma changes who we are....and how we live our lives and how we move in the world...so also does love.

You raise me up to be more than I can be...

What an impacting video. How fortunate we are and what a duty we have to pray for these people. I love how the song was sung so worshipfully.

A brief message that packs a powerful punch! You made some excellent points. My favorite is that love has the power to push us beyond our own limitations & allows me do those things that are terrifying and seem absolutely impossible.

The words you spoke through this post are real. They touch a deep chord in me, because I can so relate to what you are saying. Love is a powerful motivator. If I love someone I am willing to overlook that person's faults. ANd would go the extra mile. But when I don't love someone, the motivation just isn't there. How true.

This is one of my favorite songs, and this version is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing from your heart, Nikki.

Much love
Lidia

First, thank you for dropping by my blog. I was able to follow you home; and I'm so glad I did.

Can we ever run out of good things to say about love? It's the additive to all of life that gives meaning & purpose to everything, not to mention satisfaction & joy.

Blessings,
Kathleen

My daughter just got music for piano for the song You Raise Me Up....and was playing right before we left church this afternoon! I don't know all the words to this song, but the few I do know, are good!

Hi Nikki,
Where would we be without love? I am so glad that God loves us no matter what. His love is so secure and always available for us to draw on.

He does raise me up! Praise God.
