Near....Far....

Linking with Laura at Faith Filled Friday Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday
& Deidra at Sunday Community

“Every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. Jessica Redfield-Ghawi

People out for a good time...terrorized...too many lives lost....others now having to live with the horror and  memory. Families left broken. Hearts crushed. A nation bleeding...

Watching the news....seeing the horror....the anguish....I'm afraid...afraid of the violence that's so much a part of our world....how someone would walk into a movie theatre or school or downtown street and open fire on the innocent.

I'm afraid....afraid of what we've become....how some take out their crazy on others.....It makes me cling to Him tighter...the only real safety....I can't...I won't live my life with fear.

In memory of those who died in Aurora.....and praying for their families and friends...

Near, far...you're here in my heart...and my heart will go on

What a perfect share, Nikki!
And when I spotted the author of this quote ... there are no words.

Thank you for being a part of my heart!

I so agree with you - I am thinking how sad it is people can't even go to a movie and feel safe. How sad the world is becoming. Sandie

Such a tragedy in Colorado. I can't imagine how it must have been for those who were there and how it is now for the families of the victims.

Thank you for letting me know the video wasn't working on my blog. I don't know why it did that. It was working earlier. I had to delete the post. I appreciate you letting me know.

It is indeed a troubled frightening world, my heart goes out to these families and friends of the people so tragically killed.

Like you, I do not know how I would survive without Jesus.

God Bless - Nita

Yes, with all the bad things that are happening around us, we just need to cling to our Father and put our lives in HIs hands and see that there is still beauty around:) Have a nice day Nikki:)

After so much sadness, in the last couple of days, it's a blessing to be here.
"Our God is a healer"!
May the families and friends of the shooting know continued strength and love. In Jesus' name, Amen!

Hi Sarah,

Yes the Colorado massacre in that movie theater was horrific. The young man who did this represents one who lives a life without Christ. May God comfort the families who are suffering and the victims trying to recover from this despicable crime. And may God grab hold of the young man who did this and save his soul.

Blessings,
Judy

So true. Only HE can ever be the answer to so many things that cross our paths. And until we are in heaven, we may never have a thorough understanding of what and why something occurred that hurt so many, either physically or emotionally or spiritually. I simply have to stay as tightly and closely to Him as possible. The only answer.

I agree. It is so sad. I love that song by Celine Dion. I just finished reading your book. You sent my husband a copy some time ago to review and I just now read it. Wow, what a powerful testimony. I feel like I know you a lot better after reading it. Praise God for what He has done in your life and for the impact you are making on others. Thank you for sharing with us regularly on Spiritual Sundays.
Blessings,
Charlotte

What a beautiful post. Such sadness, but thankfully He is a faithful God, who we can always turn to!

Yet another tragedy for this nation to face. The loss of loved one's, innocent children....it doesn't make any sense! This world is so scary....

Weeping with you dear Nikki... many years ago, in Littleton, there was a massacre of innocent children in a school, and now, in Aurora, massacre in a moviehouse... arsonists, deliberately starting a forest fire... such unthinkable evil in the heart of man.

The end is near.

We will continue to look up in hope.

Much love
Lidia
