Thankful Thursday

Linking with Cami Thankful Thursday

"I have always depended on the kindness of strangers" Tennessee Williams

Friends...those amazing people who stand with me....through the tough stuff....holding out their hand.....lifting their voice on my behalf.....

I grew up with no family. It's always been the kindness of strangers who helped me....many of them becoming the 'family' I ached for.

This week's been a roller coaster.. On Monday my decision - to fight back. I asked for a sign - if the two lawyers would do the whole court thing free...it'd be His sign to stay in the ring.....

They've been doing everything free....no charge...but lawsuits are time consuming and expensive. They told me they asked their firm if they could take this all the way for no charge....they were told YES.  My sign...to not give up....to fight back....to stay strong.

Kindness - something about it makes me feel like I can fly.  This week I'm thankful for......

-Kindness of strangers.....the two lawyers who for some reasons have decided to be in my corner.
-Cyber buds....the other day when I felt like giving up...I came home and read the comments on my blog and facebook.....they  humbled me and made me determined to stand strong. You guys totally rock. Me?  I'm glad you all happened into my world and I in yours.
-Friends....I have the best friends ever...people in my corner...who show me kindness and rally for my best. I can't imagine my life without them.
-Someone expressed interest in sponsoring $5000 worth of my first book to give to women in prison. That is so cool.
-And the absolute best....that He's my friend...His constant kindness gives me incredible courage. Everytime I think I can't....I feel His gentle touch.....and know.....I can.

You guys make my world brighter. I hope I do the same for you....

I'm so glad that you get to stay in the ring! I still can't believe you are going through this. This is exactly the kind of thing I think James is talking about in James 2:6 when he speaks of people dragging you into court. It's a sickness of some people to try to wear others out financially in the fight. I'm so glad that God has provided pro bono legal services for you. Praise Him for honest and decent lawyers!

Nikki, I am so glad that the lawyer situation is going good. We are the Body of Christ. We share with each other our lives struggles and triumphs. I think it is a privilege the compassion we share as friends. Hugs to you dear one.

So thankful for you, too. So many times I wanted to give up, too, during my health challenges. You would write something encouraging on my blog. Your words helped me hang on til the rough stuff was over. So thankful for you and our Amazing Father God!
Hugs,
Tammy

Girl - I just don't know or have the words to tell you how great I think this all is. And without your painful past - none of this would have been possible. Love you, sandie

Hi Nikki,
Praise the Lord! I'm so glad the lawyers are willing to stay in your corner, and for free. That's a God thing for sure!
I'm late visiting because I had company all day but I wanted to come by and see what you were posting for the day. As always, I'm blessed to read it. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Canada Day weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

I pray for patience for you to increase as you decided to battle against that man. Lawsuits are indeed time consuming. Not sure how lawyers are there but here, most offer free services. They just get some percentage if the case win in court. Rest is for the plaintiff.

But it's not about the money. It's about the principle and exposing the wrong things done. May the Lord strengthen you and guide you sister. Take care and God bless.
