Rescued

Linking with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday & Elizabeth at  Just Following Jesus &  Laura at Beholding Glory

"When you face adversity, you need to remind yourself that whatever is trying to defeat you could very well be what God will use to promote you."  Joel Osteen

He was a friend. Not a close friend but someone I had known for awhile. He had a charm....a way about him that engaged people, attracted them to him. He stood up in meetings and captivated many with his stories of faith and God and miracles.

But I found out the truth about him.  He was a con....a liar.....someone who took advantage of people under the guise of  faith.

A few months ago....he stole something from me that he insisted was his. He hired a lawyer and tried to scare me. I walked around confused.....and worried even though I knew he had taken what belonged to me.

I prayed.  Friends prayed. Then it happened. This guy called. He heard about what this man was doing. He mentioned it to his friend, a high powered lawyer. He told me to call her. I did. She listened to my story and then said.....she'd represent me free of charge. I don't know her or that man who called....but I know He heard....and arranged all this.

Something else....out of all this mess.....I've become good friends with two people who have rocked my world for the better. One has become a mentor and friend and the other, a film maker and kindred spirit has become a good buddy.

I learned that sometimes those things that pull us down are the very things He uses to rise us to the next level.

I’m in a storm.I'm willing to fight. I’ll overcome with You by my side

I love how God sets up divine appointments and brings the right people in to our lives at the right times. He is so good and faithful! I am sure all will turn out well for you in this case. If God is with us who can stand against us...

Great story of God's faithfulness. Just goes to show, not all lawyers are bad guys. Makes me wonder about the one who agreed to represent Mr. Con-man. Apparently, he was conned, himself. Glad things worked out so well for you in the end.
Blessings,
Christa

Amen! I love how He provided for you through this whole thing. I couldn't help thinking of the verse, "The LORD himself will fight for you. You hold your peace" as I I read it.

I am truly trying to learn more from Him every day. I think that I had gotten complacent in my role as holy pupil, and last year, He decided, great teacher that He is, that He needed my attention.

I'm trying to be more attentive to His life lessons so He can raise me up to the next level.

Hi Nikki,
I love how God takes an unbearable situation and turns it into good! He knew just what you needed and He supplied it for you. He's awesome and there is no one like Him! I'm so glad He's in our corner, looking after us. Praise His name! Thanks for sharing and have a delightful weekend, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

I am so sorry for this!!! Not only the legal problem, but the fact that you valued this person as a friend, then he turned on you!! But I am so glad you have true friends and lots of help now!!

Amazing how God is intervening in your life. He knows the enemy is out to destroy us but we are far too valuable to God for Him to allow this to happen.

I certainly see what you mean by your post... confirmation again that God is in control and the very things which the enemy means for our harm turn out to bless us :D

You are such an inspiration and it's a pleasure getting to know you online :D

Love you xx

Wow! Isn't our God great! First, to help you in such a difficult circumstance and then to build into you loving and stronger relationships. I love how He redeems difficulty and draws us even closer to Him.

Wow, God is sure looking out for you! I had a similar 'God' thing happen where God took care of some business that someone else was supposed to take care of but didn't. So man, do I ever hear you!
