Thankful Thursday

Linking up with Cami at Thankful Thursday

"Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance"  Oprah Winfrey

The week has flown by. Each day has been a gift. I've spent a lot of time running in the woods and writing. I'm grateful I'm alive....I'm grateful for everything I've been given. This week I'm thankful for...

-nature.....I've been in the woods a lot....hiking..... running.... climbing the mountains.....standing at the top edge......breathing in the joy of just being alive.
-Birds...they're all back...the blueys (herons), cardinals, swallows, nuthatchers and others.I love watching them. There's something about birds that makes my heart sing.
-turtles.....tons of them sunbathing on logs as if it really is summer.
-the awesome feedback from N. and W. and J.R. after they read my book. Their words remind me how much I want to shine hope and also walk gently b/c no one knows what someone else is going through. You can't usually tell just by looking at them.
-mostly for the touch of His gentleness.

Sounds like everything is going well for you right now. That's wonderful!
I love this time of year too. The song birds are coming back and the earth is waking up. It is good to be alive! Thanks for sharing and have a delightful day, dear friend.

Blessings and hugs,
Sandi

Now that the bushes on one of our sideyard had grown taller and thicker, I noticed a lot of birds chirping in the morning. They must be living in there. But what a beautiful song coming from them that wakes me up! Their songs composed from up above. Have a great rest of the week sister...God bless and protect you!

What a great time to be in God's presence experiencing all He has created! I am thankful also for the break in the weather here in Ohio as the sun is shining and we may reach 70 for the second time this week! Praise God! Summer is on the way! Thanks for sharing your heart full of gratitude!

Reading this post, I am reminded of something mentioned in your book: "He will give you back the years the locusts have eaten."

I am so grateful to have met you via the Thankful Thursday Link Up and look forward to many more of your posts.

Birds make my heart sing, too; they've been a joy many, many times!

Love the line: "Walk softly because you don't know what someone else is going through."

What a lovely peaceful post this is... and I had to read it several times because of the peace I got just reading it the first time. The birds, the turtles... and walking softly because we never know what someone else is going through.

My best friend from San Francisco offered to send me a birthday gift, she said any book I want. I chose your book. She has already ordered it, and I am looking forward to getting it soon.

Much love,
Lidia
