Thankful Thursday

Linking with Cami at Thankful Thursday

“Faith isn’t the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It’s simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step.” Joni Erickson Tada

Faith. It's hard to step out when you can't see anything in front of you.
Faith. When everything looks the opposite of what my heart is telling me......my heart and my gut trumps what I see with my eyes. Faith I don't want to doubt. I want to trust...believe....even when it's scary. This week....am grateful for.....

-My buddy F. He's amazing. He pumps me with faith and pushes me to reach for my dreams.
-While at the prison orientation.....I met another volunteer...a Christian. We promised to pray for each other.
-March Break....love having the kids home all the time and all of us getting together with friends and just taking life easy.
-Warm sunny days...tulips starting to bud. Totally loving this.
-Guidance....sometimes I just feel shaky....not real sure of something....and I struggle to trust....and do the right thing. I'm grateful He's always there to listen.....and guide me into making the right and perfect decisions.

Hey Nikki. I am realizing more and more that real faith are promises made by God. Believing His promises is the evidence. As we know if God promises something in the Bible you know He is going to do it. Putting my faith in believing that He will do it is the key. Blessings to you dear one.

This post is so special, Nikki.

It confirms what GOd has been speaking to me these past weeks.

Guidance... you are right. How confident I feel, and so secure, when God gives His guidance.

Blessings on your day... enjoy your children.

Enjoy the coming spring season!

Much love
Lidia

Walking by faith and not by sight can sure be a scary thing sometimes! But praise the Lord that when we look at HIM our vision becomes clear and our hearts can trust where He is taking us.

Thanks for sharing this today. Found you through the Thankful Thursdays linkup.

Remember that picture you posted one time? Where a girl was on a swing swinging high on top of the sky as she viewed the world down below her?
I never forgot that picture...because I couldn't see where the ropes that held the swing were coming from. But it was coming from up above...It is scary as we venture into places we haven't been or about to do things we haven't done. But if we trust and truly know Who is holding the swings of our lives, the possibilities are endless. Because He is the One Who empowers in the first place. We just have to BELIEVE.

I was just praying for those who do prison ministries because it's not easy and there are so many souls needing His light and love in that very dark place. Praying for His wisdom and protection for all of you who minister to those incarcerated ones. God bless you sister and thank you for blessing my faith with yours.

Do you have a prison ministry now? Well, you certainly will have a captive audience, ha ha!!! Sorry about that, I just couldn't resist it. I do think it is a great thing you are doing!!!! Perhaps you will be sharing your faith and giving some faith to those who have lost theirs so long ago...

What a great list. So important to walk by faith and to have a prayer partner!

It's wonderful to have others who become the hands, feet, ears, and eyes of Jesus! And now you are doing the same for those in prison! God comforts us so that we can comfort others the Bible tells us. God bless you!

As usual, your lists makes my mind wander to all the like things for which I'm grateful.

And I love that quote at the beginning. That's exactly what God has been teaching me lately. Just believe for the next step.

This is so true. It can sometimes be scary but we always know whose leading us :) Thanks for stopping by my place this week and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
