Surrender

Linking with Charlotte at  Spiritual Sunday and Laura at Brag on Fridays

“If you struggle more...you’ll sink faster" Land before time

Life is full of things I don't understand. And it's full of conflicts. Sometimes I want something to go a certain way but another person involved has a different idea.

Conflicts. Coming to a resolution is not always easy. And hurt feelings happen. I used to be a fighter. I never wanted to give up or give in. I thought I had to fight until I got what I wanted. Not anymore. Now I think it's better to just surrender. Not surrendering to the person....but surrendering to Him. I trust Him. I know He'll always make it right.

Surrender equals peace....Surrender brings unity. Surrender brings a softer easier way.

I surrender....all to Him I freely give.....

Yes....surrender is better, but dying to my will is still hard sometimes.

Awesome word for me this morning...as I have filled my plate with much ...now I must surrender and ask the LORD to cleanse the plate of all that is not of him....hard to do b/c sometimes he will take the "sweet dessert" of wrong choice and remove it to reveal to me the hidden liberation in the removal of such sweetness! Big Hugs Nikki

Sarah, surrender to Him is not easy sometimes, but I know that is the only way to peace.

Like you I am a fighter, but in life'a dailey moments I have found I don't have to always be right. It makes life a lot easier.

I think of Jesus' prayer of surrender in the Gethsemane garden . . . the perfect model for us. But you are right: it's not easy but it's the only way to real peace and joy.

I love Michael W. Smith; saw him in concert once and it was fabulous!
now, about surrendering...that's a tough one for me. I'm not a fighter but I do feel like and advocate for my kids and depending upon the situation is how far I will take it.But I do like the thought of surrendering to HIM...good thoughts Sarah!

Hi sister! Good Sat.morn! Surrender sounds awful when we put the meaning that this world teaches. But surrender's meaning in Jesus' vocabulary is not a loss but a total victory. A sure win!!! I like M.W. Smith's worship songs. It's nice to be reminded what we have in Jesus. God bless and enjoy your weekend!

My word of the year last year was Yield, with that same sense of surrender. It doesn't mean the same as give up or defeated. It's the way of the spiritual warrior--very brave. Lovely post.

It is so difficult at times, but when God requires us to surrender it always always is for the best. God loves us too much for it to be otherwise.

Surrender... it's a positive thing, like acceptance and abandonment, and emptying your cup and saying to God - not my will but yours be done in my life.

Loved this post...

Blessings on your week dear Nikki.

Surrender is a tough word.

I tend to think of surrender in the negative sense - that it means giving up something or losing something. However, the truth is this - if I lose my life for Jesus' sake, I will find it.

In this sense, surrender is abandoning myself in total trust to Someone who loves me more than I will ever understand.

Doesn't sound so bad, huh?? :)

GOD BLESS!

Surrender. It's such a peaceful notion, but yet it takes a big bold step to do it. I think it's the real key to happiness...

We used to sing this song in church a lot. It's so true. We need to surrender to Him. Surrender ALL to Him.
