No one like You.....

Linking up with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday and Laura at  Faith Filled Friday

One on God's side is a majority. -- Wendell Phillips

The week has been wild....and fierce.......it's been a battle fighting for rights and integrity and honesty. Friends walked me through the fire....told me to have no worries.......that it'll be okay. And they were right on. What happened has made me stand stronger....taller....braver. It showed me He really does have my back..... and He's got everyone's back who truly belongs to Him.

As things calmed down......and I saw the battle dust....it hit me....there's a real war going on....between good and evil....right and wrong.  It happened so fast.....that I never realized I got caught up in its heat. All I know is that my survival instincts kicked in until He whispered.....'the battle's not mine..but His.

Into the darkness He shines....out of ashes I rise.......

In a holy twist of Providence, not one but TWO of my favorite bloggers were dragged into intense battle this past week. (You and Kathy from "The Writer's Reverie")

I'm so convicted to NOT forget that the battle is as ever present as the Darkness.

I don't know if you've ever read the book "This Present Darkness", but if you have, you'll understand this statement:

Pray, saints of God. Pray.

(And I feel the oddball need to assure you that I do know books don't go in quotes. There is no underline or italic function in the comment box. Grammar teacher disclaimer. Grin.)

Sarah ~ First I love that quote by Phillis. The battle is sometimes very hard. Two weeks ago I posted...the battle belongs to the Lord...om my Face Book page. Little did I know that "the battle" in my life was about to get stronger. Isn't it amazing how the Lord can change it all in an instant for us?!
Thank you for your encouraging words this morning.
Have a blessed day in Him...Chelle

His battle, indeed.
Amen to that!

And the biggest battles perhaps are the ones in my own skin . . .

Thanks for your honesty here. Refreshing.

The battle does rage and it is fierce....so thankful this morning that my victory is found in praising the almighty one who the battle belongs to .....

Yes .. the battle belongs to Him .. for it through these detours, He teaches us to be stronger, and reminds us that our strength comes from faith and believing in Him .. the stronger these two little words are [faith, believing] the stronger we will be!! Blessings, xo HHL

I just read this morning that knowing and serving God is no security FROM storms, but He is perfect security IN the storms.

Yes, war.

I just read this quote in my devotionals last week. It's from John Eldredge's book "Waking the Dead":

"[This truth] brought to us comes like a broken message over the radio or an urgent email from a distant country, telling us that some great struggle or quest or battle is well under way. May even be hanging in the balance...This is a world at war. Something large and immensely dangerous is unfolding all around us, we are caught up in it...we have been given a key role to play."

Amen.

May God give us the strength to fight well.

GOD BLESS!

This is so true. There has been a battle between good and evil from the beginning. I'm glad we know which one will win. Love the song. Our God is greater, stronger, higher than any other. May we never forget that.
Blessings,
Charlotte
