His Eye......

Linking with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday  and Laura at Faith Filled Fridays

"When the world says, give up, hope whispers, try it one more time." Unknown

Sometimes stuff happens that gets me down.  Things I want just aren't working the way I imagined.

In the past, when I got discouraged....it would take a long time for me to get back up.  It's different now. I won't stay down.....I won't give up....I won't give in to doubts and fears.

If something isn't working out the way I think it should......maybe it's 'cause He's got another route....another path....another means.....maybe even an altered slant to the plan or dream.

I can't stay discouraged. Not with Him in my heart. The tug of His gentleness is a constant reminder that no matter what....it's gonna be okay.

He's sees. He knows. And the best....He's got my back. He's always in my corner.

Give up? Never.
Let go of the dream? Never.
Hope....you bet.
Trust.....absolutely.  Because I know......

His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me......

inspirational post. You are right, as long as God is with us, we can't give up. With gOd we can win all the battles. Thanks for dropping by in my blog. We keep in touch as sisters in Christ:)

There is no giving up with God as our anchor....He always lovingly puts His arm around us and encourages us to try again with His help...

I have always loved the verse "His eye is on the sparrow"...I love those little birds....

"I can't stay discouraged."

That's so good, Nikki. Sometimes I find that I get discouraged so easily, but by the grace of God, it doesn't usually last too long. I praise him for short seasons.

One of my favorite songs. As I sit here sparrows feed outside my window, and I'm sure God just which ones!

You are so right! When our plans fail, maybe it is because they are OUR plans, and not God's!! Our plans can fail, but we ourselves are never a failure as long as we seek to please God. I have always loved this song. and for some reason it was the theme for the old Baretta cop show! I hadn't heard this pretty version...

Love that song, Nikki! God's plans are always better than our own. It took me a while to figure that one out.
My post is about hope too but a little different slant.
Thanks for another inspirational post. Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

These bad things happened to you because I intend to work it together for your good (Romans 8).
These happened so that you would rely more on God who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1).
This happened so that the gold and silver of your faith would be refined (1 Peter 1).
This thorn is so that the power of Christ would be magnified in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12).

God cannot make plain all he is doing, because there are millions and millions and millions and millions of effects of every event in our lives, the good and the bad. God guides them all. They all have micro purposes and macro purposes. He cannot tell us all of them because our brains can’t hold all of them.
Trust does not demand more than God has told us. And he has given us immeasurably precious promises that he is in control of all things and only does good to his children. And he has given us a very thick book where we can read story after story after story about how he rules for the good of his people.

When I was a little girl walking home from school in a light rain, I walked under this huge oak tree. There were so many sparrows in the branches that I could catch them. I wished I could have taken them home. I have not thought of that day for a long time.

Years later, when I was the director of a food bank, I had a client call me on the phone. She told me she could sing and asked me if I wanted to hear her sing. Of course, I said yes. She sang "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". That just touched my heart so deeply. It reminded me of that moment as a child. Looking back I saw how God was always there for me. Always protecting me. It was a moment I will never forget. I've never doubted it again.

Thanks, Sarah, for this awesome post.

I am currently reading in the book of Joshua in my One-Year Bible reading plan. I am struck by how many times God tells Joshua - do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. And of course, the reason why? "For I am with you."

What a tremendous promise - one that belongs to us today, too.

Your posts almost always coincide with what God is saying to me. And today it is another confirmation of the road I am on. TO never give up, to look to the goal... he is always keeping you and me close to His heart. Life is too short to waste on discouragement and hopelessness!

Thanks for sharing your heart so beautifully, always!

Love
Lidia

I am certainly in the waiting mode for God to answer my prayers. I know God knows what is best for me and his timing is perfect. I trust Him explicitly and I am definitely working on patience.
Thank you for this great reminder.
