And So This is Christmas

Linking up with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday  and Laura at Beholding Glory

"It's Christmas every time you let God love others through you. It's Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand" Mother Teresa

I like the spirit of Christmas. I like the kindness and the way people go the extra mile to be nice. I like how people band together to raise money and gifts so that no one has to feel left out....alone....and empty.

I like all of it and I don't want it to be for just one month...or a few weeks or even one particular day. I want it to last...always...and I want it to outweigh the dark....the sad...the lonely and the hard times for all of us.

Christmas has this amazing feeling that seems to make us nicer. Christmas....it's all b/c of Him. I never could've imaged this kind of joy....or peace. Sometimes I shake my head to see if it'll disappear.....it never does. Instead...every day gets a bit more brighter. And I've learned...

"I'm not alone at all I thought. I was never alone. And that is the message of Christmas. We are never alone. Not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the world seemingly most indifferent" Taylor Caldwell
Merry Christmas Guys!

And so this is Christmas.....I hope you have fun......

Good morning Nikki,
I love the spirit of Christmas too. I end every post on my Christmas blog with 'Keeping Christmas in my heart all year round' because Christmas is the nicest time of the year. It's just like you said, People are nicer and more generous this time of year.
I'm so glad we have gotten to know each better this past year.
I pray you have the loveliest and most blessed Christmas ever with your loved ones.

Christmas love and hugs,
Sandi

Dear Nikki, At Christmas we celebrate Emmanuel -- God with us. but praise God, every believer has Christ in us, the hope of glory, once we trust Him as our personal Savior, throughout eternity and not just at Christmas time! May His love and light shine through us every day of the year!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I, too, love the generosity and kindness which is so prevalent now, and I would like to be aware of those qualities all year. As the Lord enables me, I will be more generous and kinder in the coming year, so that Christmas doesn't fade. (There, I made a resolution a week early!)

Many blessings to you and yours!

I like this Christmas feeling too. If we could just remember that we feel this way because of Christ not because of a calendar day. Hope you feel His love each day.

Hi Sarah! Thank you for stopping by to my blog :) Christmas is the moment when people refresh their heart to God, unfortunately some of them are busy with the decor and forget the main point which is God himself. Let us be Maria, take the best part of Him. Sit and listen to His word.

Have a blessed day! :)

What you said about the spirit of Christmas is really true... it is as if people are kinder, gentler, more willing to go out of their way to give something... and even being more willing to spend!

Yes, the spirit of Christmas is a spirit that GIVES!

Because that is what Jesus did... He gave Himself... to a world that did not deserve it.

Your visits to my blog always come as a delight to my heart, Nikki.

Have a spirit filled year end... and new year.

Much love
Lidia

Dear Sarah,
Thanks for the Christmas hug....I think you are amazing, too. I am so blessed to have you in my corner. :)

I totally agree with your post. The Spirit of Christ is amazing during this season. The only other time I really feel it is in my church. It is the best day of my week.

Hugs to you,
Tammy
