Thankful Thursday

I live in the space of thankfulness. I've been rewarded a million times over for it.  That’s because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it. Oprah Winfrey

This week's been the best in so many different ways. It's not that things were spectacular in any way....or amazingly wonderful - it's just the little things that built up and culminated into one really happy week. There's a lot of stuff I'm grateful for this week...things like.....

-a publisher emailed me. Asked me to submit my full manuscript to them. That's a good thing but whatever they decide I'm okay with it.
-An opportunity has opened up for me to lead workshops in a women's prison. Things are in the process of being worked out and it's slowly coming together.
-my 15 yr. old got her report card and I  am somersaulting over the moon proud of her. All her teachers scribbled a note that it's been a pleasure having her in their class. For me....it's a pleasure being her mom and even if she didn't excel in school she's one of the two best kids ever.
-time to write. Lots of it. Writing connects me to myself and gives me tremendous satisfaction.
-And the best....His whisper in my heart....reminding me He's got plans....super awesome ones....I can trust and know He's working out all the details. And what totally amazes me....I'm part of His plans..Me. and You and each of us...No one's left out. Totally love that!!!!

It's amazing what God is doing in your life! As you remain trusting in Him alone, you know you will never go wrong! Praying for His protection as you do a ministry in the prison. I know a lot of them would be blessed to hear your testimony and God's work in your life! May their hearts and their minds reach out to His hand Who wants all to be saved! God bless you sister and take care!

Great list...I can join you in applauds over my 15 year old's grades and what he is accomplishing...what a thrill to see God's hand on them. May they lead their generation for Christ.

Yea on all your others...and yes, His plan for us!

God is good, and what is even better is seeing His goodness in the life of another. I have followed your blogs for more than a year now, and each time you write, it inevitably focuses on the goodness of God... being thankful... being grateful.

Oprah is so right, and I love your quote on top... the more we appreciate His goodness, the more opportunities we have to see His goodness at work in our lives!

I am rejoicing with you indeed!

Sister...He's lining up some awesome stuff for you so He can shine through!! He knows you will let Him!
Don't you just love reading comments about your children..doing the right stuff even when you're not looking - makes you beam!!
And best of all is Gods encouragement along the way..whispers, glimpses...He keeps showing us over and over - He's got us, He hears us - and will use us to carry out His will...Awesome indeed.
Thankful for you! You keep us looking to Jesus!

I usually linger on your every word. I guess it's the writer in you that I like so much.

BUT this week, I'm lingering on one specific part. It's the last part, here:

"And the best....His whisper in my heart....reminding me He's got plans....super awesome ones....I can trust and know He's working out all the details. And what totally amazes me....I'm part of His plans..Me. and You and each of us...No one's left out. Totally love that!!!!"

I totally love that too!
