I Know Who I Am

Linking up with Charlotte at Spiritual Sunday & Laura at Beholding Glory

"I know what I want, I have a goal, an opinion, I have a religion and love. Let me be myself and then I am satisfied. I know that I’m a woman, a woman with inward strength and plenty of courage." Anne Frank

I feel this strength inside......and a purpose.......a direction for my life. There's things I want to do.....ideas I want to make happen.....goals I want to see accomplished. I'm excited...about life....and living.

I didn't always feel this way. I saw no purpose...no reason for life. I contemplated giving up....taking my life. Everything was too dark....meaningless.

But now life has become an amazing adventure.  Every day....another opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. Everyday....another to show His awesomeness....and how He can make a difference.

I know who I am....I have a goal....an opinion....I have my faith and love...and It's because of Him...His touch.....His amazing love...He gave me purpose...and a reason to live...

People said things couldn't change....they gave up on me....He never did. I want to shine His light for others.....and stand strong.....to show life really does have meaning and they value.

I know who I am....I have a goal....an opinion.....I have my faith.....and love.......Happy Thanksgiving Guys!

I know who I am........

We know quite a few people who just go through life with no goal, not doing anything much at all. And they are so unhappy. One of them is even a really good Christian! This is so sad. It is wonderful to know why you are here and have it be a joy to get up every day to love doing God's work. You have been truly blessed, but then God does that when we turn to him.

Hi Sarah, I love what you want your legacy to be (comment at Behind the Gate) is hope. What a powerful word, and one of the things that will remain. You do offer that to others, it already is your legacy. I love the strength of the quote from Anne. I never had ready that one before.
Blessings,
Gayle

Hi Sarah, this is a beautiful post! When Christ makes you a new creation, life truly does become an amazing adventure! Not that we don't have trials or questions, but to look back on how He has orchestrated our lives to accomplish His purpose is a great blessing! Praise God that He came to give us life more abundantly!

Thank you for your comment on my blog, Saved by Grace. I am blessed by your blog and will follow it, and I invite you to follow Saved by Grace as well.

I just enjoyed rockin' it out to that song. I had never heard it. I loved the quote by Anne Frank too. Such wisdom and eloquence from one so young.

This, as usual, was a wonderfully expressed post.

Very warm thoughts.

I like that you have a Kubler-Ross quote on your profile. I teach her stuff in my psych classes - she was such an interesting person.

I feel that way way exactly! I am going to borrow your quote. I understand.

What's up sister? Praying all is well with you and that you are remaining strong in His mighty power! Thanks for your greeting. I was thinking it was early. I forgot you are celebrating Thanksgiving earlier than we do. But to be thankful, that's what we must have. Every day. Take care sister and God bless you always.

Happy Thanksgiving! (Is it really this soon? I'll have to look it up. I always thought it was at Christmas time. Oh.. someday, I'll learn it right!)

:) Nikki, you're almost my only contact with God in this madness. Thank you for bringing His Light unto me.
