It's been super hot....too hot to do much of anything except stay indoors most of the time and 'chill.' Still....there's so much to be thankful for....things like....
-A/C...there are people around the globe who have no air conditioning or even a fan.
-Getting work done...The good thing about the heat is that it gets me sitting at home....at my desk.....writing. I've finished and submitted two short stories and have been working on my book, Dancing Softly.
-Books.....time inside has given me time for reading....I love to get lost in a good book....just picked up Anne Lamott's Imperfect Birds....can't wait to read it.
-catching up on blogs and connecting with people online....I love cyberspace.
-mostly....His peace....no matter what the day brings...it's there....always....reassuring that everything will always be okay.

Choosing to be thankful no matter what circumstances we're in...Love your grateful heart. Always. God bless you sister.
It is super hot here too, almost 100 all week, and the heat index makes it over 100, the humidity is terrible here too, I cannot stand to be outside these days, but praising God for the wonderful air conditioning we have here, thank you lord for giving me such sweet peace in times of turmoil too, God bless you dear friend. ♥
We have been over 100 degrees for over two weeks with no break it sight. It really drains you. Your attitude is always so upbeat. You are a joy to know on line.
I like the comment from Oprah that you started with. I just read another quote at the blog "For Colored Gurls" from Oprah as well. She seems to say some pretty great things!
smooches,
Larie
It's hot here every day so you can find me in pajamas most of the time. Hubby is off tomorrow so we always have to get out and about and can't do that in pj's. :) Have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend. Tammy
Hotter than blazes here in Massachusetts, too. Love your photo of the doggie in front of the fan. I think it's great to be thankful, no matter what. You have that nailed. Susan
All the best on your writing endeavors, my friend. This week, the AC is my best friend. :)
Hey again! I visited your blog earlier this morning before I got the notice about "In the Eye of Deception" being on Breathe Again blogtalkradio this evening, so I just wanted to say I'll be tuning in and I'm excited since I've read the book a while back!
smooches,
Larie
Congratulations on getting your two short stories done.
Enjoy the AC!
Sounds like you are accomplishing a lot.
Love the photo you used with the dog/fan.
Love the picture! It's not super-hot here. Congratulations!
This is some heatwave!!! Heat indexes of 120 this week! And YEs, I am so thankful for air conditioning!
His peace is definitely the best. Cuts through all the rest, doesn't it?
...all i can say is i am grateful for God answering my prayers for patience with my kids as we are all stuck inside with >100 degree temps... (lol) ;0)
Oh, I have really felt for you who are in the heat wave going on. The Seattle area is cool and comfy. Yes, so thankful for heated homes and air-conditioners in those climates that need it. (We don't need it here except for about a week, so few of us have them here!)
Hi Sarah,
Finding something to be thankful for regardless of the circumstances is a true blessing from God. Hope the heat eases soon.
God Bless

Cute pic!! I'm still waiting for the heat. Seems we won't wait much longer... supposed to be in the 90s this weekend. We haven't been much over 71 for weeks now...
