Thankful Thursday

Linking with Dayle at Simple Pleasures

"I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people. And therefore I am so grateful to God for giving me this gift of writing, of expressing all that is in me!"  Anne Frank

This week has rained so much and with it came days that had little sunshine and cold temps. It's forced me indoors more.....feeling lazy and not wanting to do much of anything...except write.
Writing....it's a gift....a way to have my voice....a means to express what I feel....think....believe. Putting words on paper feels incredibly satisfying...like drinking a cold glass of water after a run. This week....I'm thankful for:

-my friend's father told me he's read my book twice and now is telling everyone he can about it. I am humbled by his words and honored at the same time.
-I submitted a story to a woman's anthology on finding peace. I recieved an email saying they have elminated a number of stories and are at the final stages. They can only choose 25. Mine is still being considered.
-two of my short stories were selected from 500 recieved. They'll be published in an anthology of inspirational stories and poems
-A local hospital has asked if they can publish two of my stories on elderly patients in their newsletter and on their website.
-More than writing... more than anything....I'm grateful that He redeems everything even those things that seem unredeemable. He is my motivation to write...and to live my best life.

That's wonderful, Sarah! As a writer, I understand the hard work that goes into it, but the joy that it brings, as well. Congratulations!

Let us know when you get your stories published.

What a great outlet. The little bits on comments and creating posts is about it for me. But it does feel good.
