The Power to be Strong

Linking up with Charlotte and Ginger who every week host  Spiritual Sunday

"Toni Morrison said, "The function of freedom is to free someone else," and if you are no longer wracked or in bondage to a person or a way of life, tell your story. Risk freeing someone else" Anne Lamott

I never imagined when I was fighting so hard to survive...that there would come a day I'd stand up and tell others to never give up....to hold on....to grab onto hope with everything they have....and know the darkness will evenually fizzle out. It'll lose its power. It won't last forever.

I never imagined that I would stand free....find my voice....and give hope to people who are where I was. For so long....I struggled alone....fighting in my own strength...feeling myself slipping further and further down.....

I never imagined.....He would reach far down with a love so incredible.....it broke the hold of the darkness. But even after He touched me....there were many times I felt the pull of the darkness trying to push me down again....But now, I had an anchor. I held on tight....refusing to loosen my grip on Him.

I've learned that the power to be strong....and the wisdom to be wise.....lies in holding onto faith even when it seems totally useless.  I discovered faith is a verb....an action.....it's something you do....and I discovered faith trumps everything else.

In learning you will teach and in teaching you will learn........

You have learned a great TRUTH, Sarah. You have triumphed. You are a glorious picture of His Glory shining through our darkness all the way to VICTORY!

Your spirit connects with others who are on their way to victory. Your words of testimony and faith and gentle encouragement serve to offer a steady hand to those that come behind you.

Each path is unique and although different - have a common need. We are ALL in need of gentle RESTORATION.

God bless you for your testimony of FAITH and RESTORATION. I stand with you on that path. A many stranded cord is not easily broken! Let all REDEEMED of the Lord say so!

Hugs for a beautiful, restful weekend

A very fitting song for this post. I think I have this album, if it's the one with "In The Air Tonight"

God is so faithful to not waste any lessons. Whatever he teaches us, we're to go teach others. So thankful for your ministry to share his love to others who know pain like you do. You are definitely strong in his strength!

"In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn" - I love that...and it is so true. I also like your words, "faith trumps everything." The lens of faith puts everything into its proper perspective.

I'm so glad you are free to stand and share your story with others. Be bold, be strong, for the Lord your God is with you!

Very fitting for all of us. I feel that sometimes we feel like letting go---but up from The Spring comes the courage to hold on. Thanks for coming by Not Accidentally.
