"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." Maya Angelou
Sometimes...it's not the big things...the once in a lifetime trip....or material thing I waited so long for and finally got....but it's the simple every day things that make a difference...things that remind me life has value....like;
-my 10 year old coming home after school, slamming the front door, dashing up the stairs to find me....throwing her arms around my neck in a tight grip and saying....'I love you mom.'
-my 15 year old curling up beside me and telling me in her sweet voice....'have I told you lately how much I love you...'
-friends who call just to say 'I care - I'm here for you....anytime....' and who give me the opportunity to say the same to them.
-a new neighbour who is upbeat and funny as all get up and go.....and cracks me with her wild stories.
-mostly....my faith that helps me face my fears...like standing up and speaking and doing the things I never could before. He's my anchor...my hope....He fills up all those empty spaces inside and it doesn't matter if things are going right or wrong.....just knowing He's there....in my corner....is the absolute best.
