Spiritual Sunday....Hard Places

Thanks Charlotte and Ginger for every week hosting Spiritual Sunday

"Where flowers bloom so does hope." Lady Bird Johnson

Corrie Ten Boon grew up Christian. Her family were kind....good people. They loved God. Still.....they were arrested......thrown in concentration camps.....most of them died....Corrie survived. Out of the worst darkness anyone can experience....Corrie learned no darkness is so great His love is not greater still.

Kidnapped...raped....beaten....I didn't think I'd survive....I did. Those tough times had purpose.  Because of them....I've become strong...confident.... determined. Many times I wanted to give up....give in....let go. Something wouldn't let me.

My dgt. made another video/trailer......Growing in the Hard Places.

I'm just speechless. This is wonderful. I don't know which image I loved more, the flowers in the rock or those hands breaking free from the ropes.

Your daughter is using her gifts well.

I too, didn't think I would survive, nor did I WANT to at certain points...suicide called to me on more than one ocassion and I guess God wanted me more here than there because I did survive.
I like your blog and will definitely be back...thank you!

Nikki, I love how you daughter did this trailer. At first I thought this was you narrating, until I read the credits at the end. Powerful words from your book. Blessings my dear one.

Very compelling. Words and visuals. Love the two flowers in the rocky ground -- side by side. reminds me of a photo of a flower that sprouted up out of a crack in some lava rock when we were in Hawaii. Life in the hard places - This is such a picture. Like God is putting His seal on things and causes us to bloom where we are planted.

Blessings

There are so many people hurting like the sisters in this trailer. It makes me sad when I think about it. Nikki, your helping these women and I will keep you in my prayers during your journey. Please tell your daughter I said thank-you for this amazing video.

Thanks so much for sharing...the flowers among the rocks, the breaking through of the ropes, the true story of God's redemption. The truth that He will take what satan meant for evil and use it for His good. All things for His glory as your life shines for us all to see His glory and encourages us when we are among the rocks.

Hi Sarah; I just wanted to re-post and let you know that my dog, Keeper was found this morning and he is back home with me. He is a bit cut up by barbed wire and is angry with me but he is happy to be home again.

The hard times always bring me to my knees and show me that I cannot do it on my own. These are the times I draw nearest to my Savior.
