Thankful Thursday

Linking up with Dayle at Simple Pleasures

“There is a calmness to a life lived in Gratitude, a quiet joy.” Ralph H. Blum

Gratitude...gives me a tremendous sense of peace and rest and purpose....something I longed for....for a long time. I never imagined life would change and become what it is now....I've been given so much. I'm grateful for.....

-the friendships I've developed both online and off....some totally neat people are in my world.
-my older sister who calls everyday to make me laugh....to tell me she loves me....and to remind me the bond between sisters is very strong. We had been separated since we were teens and reunited 2008.
-Standing up and speaking to that group of women. I sold a ton of books and got lots of hugs and great encouragment. It's getting easier to stand up...and be seen and heard....
-having discovered a way to have my voice...and say those things I never could....through writing. Writing feels so much like breathing....
-Mostly.....I'm grateful for the power of His gentleness that touches me again and again and again and has shown me gentleness is so much stronger than force and violence. It's given me hope and faith....and even when things aren't going so good...to hold on...wait....rest...'cause He's on it....working everything out....

Hold on and wait 'cause He's working everything out...

I need to repeat that over and over to myself these days.

I am so glad to read that the speaking not only reaped a pleasure in YOU but also brought you book sales. Double the pleasure.

I agree about the writing. It is like breathing.

And that graphic??? hilarious.

I KNEW it! The more you speak, the more comfortable you will be with it. And soon, you will be wanting to say all kinds of things and won't be able to wait for another engagement!! I always wanted a sister so badly, you are both very blessed.

This picture is just too funny.
I love your list, as I read I just hear God saying, "look what I have for my people" He is giving you strength to go beyond your own abilities, so you are speaking and writing, which are all showing his glory!
