Spiritual Sunday......

Thanks Charlotte and Ginger for always hosting these great....Spiritual Sunday

"No Matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow." Maya Angelou

Some days I feel I can fly....that I'm so connected to Him....I can face anything...do anything...be anything.

Other days....everything's a chore...and it seems like He's left....taken off.....and I'm fighting alone...fighting to stay strong....to not become discouraged. I look around and see all the hurt and pain and hardness people go through....I feel overwhelmed and I start wondering if it's easier to let go....and give up.

In my head....I know....even in those times....I can trust Him....that He hasn't left.....He's there....still in my corner...still running with me.

I used to worry when I couldn't sense His presence that maybe I did something to push Him away. Now....on those days I don't 'feel' Him...I choose to believe...to trust the reliability of His promises that things will be okay and that He'll never leave. Holding onto to that is like an anchor that helps me ride through the tough times....

I pray you'll be our eyes....and watch us where we go...and help us to be wise...in times when we don't know.

Hi Sarah,
Very well put.... I could of wrote this post, especially lately since I have had long stretches walking through the valley. I know He is with me even when I can't feel or see Him. Thanks for your encouragement during those times. He has really used you during some of my lowest points. :)

Blessings,
Tammy

Psalm 85:13 Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps. He is there...with you..going before you..preparing the way for each step you will need to take. He's got you and will NEVER ever let you go!
I found comfort in this WORD of His...knowing if He's gone before me that following in His steps even if they are H.A.R.D....they are the one's I want to be in, the path I want to take cuz that's where I'll find my JESUS!
Love ya sista! Hold on tight to His robe!! Never ever let go!

What a wonderful post . . . it is obvious that you have come to a place where God can trust you with His silence. He is ALWAYS there . . . He wants our faith to come to a place of believing that He is, regardless of our senses. In times of silence, He's growing our faith . . . in the valley . . . where the soil is most fertile.
Blessings!

Sweet Sara, you've beautifully described faith - "the evidence of things not seen". What a marvelous journey you're on. You've turned darkness into Light. xo

Yes faith is indeed "the evidence of things not seen". We can live by His words "Ill never leave or forsake thee".

I think this happens to all of us. And we need to know that He is CONSTANT. But our emotions are not, and that's what gets in the way.

That was just beautiful, Dear. I think I needed to hear that one too. :) Have a blessed weekend.

It's nice to know we don't have to depend on how we feel. We can KNOW that he is with us, all the time. Thanks for sharing, Sarah. Always good.

It really is faith that arises when we can't feel Him and we go on. I like it better when I feel Him tho and see signs of Him everywhere.

Yes! That's faith. And the shield of faith which extinguishes every fiery dart of the enemy. Every one.

Faith is complicated some time. We need a solution now and we often wonder why God is ignoring us. Lucky for us His is always paying attention and trying His best to keep us on track with Him and away from the enemy. Nice writing as always Sarah Blessings to you Anne

I understand your needing to feel his presence. I am the same way. I have to remind myself it is all about faith not feelings. He said he would be with me Always, and he is.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for sharing this personal moment. I know I have those moments when it has seemed that God is so far away from me. During those moments, I find comfort in reading Psalms; particularly ones which speak to feeling helpless and asking God, Where are you Lord?

I like what you said, "...on those days I don't 'feel' Him...I choose to believe...to trust the reliability of His promises that things will be okay and that He'll never leave. Holding onto to that is like an anchor that helps me ride through the tough times...."

Thanks for sharing this song of prayer by The Celtic Women.

Yes Lord! "Lead us to a place
Guide us with Your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
"

Blessings and peace.

It's so easy to become overwhelmed with life and lose sight of His presence in our day. It seems we are looking but not finding. He tells me in His word that He never leaves me. He's shown Himself to be trustworthy in all things and so I know not to trust my feelings. He is faithful! And I am glad!!

Donnie said...

That was so heartfelt and I'm glad you trust Him.

Came here earlier and got lost in the beauty of that song. It's one of my favorites, and they do a stunning job with it.

I know exactly of what you speak here. He is never, ever diminished. That's a lie that Satan likes to whisper, but it isn't true.

Your posts always make me nod my head, and often I say "Amen" right out loud.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's always a pleasure to hear from you!

Someday, everything will be revealed to us and I can't wait to see the reasons why we have those "kind of moments", those times as if He is so far away. I'm not surprised to see that He is just right there beside us the whole time...So encouraging sister. God bless and be strong in the Lord's mighty power! Love to you.
